How do I paint my power armor?

Got some paint from the store and cannot find one guide on how to use it.

First like many crafting options you have to buy or find Plans in order to then Craft or have such crafting options available. You also need to put your power armor out so so its available to use at the power armor crafting station. You can't paint the armor skeleton which is what we all start with when you find and take the power armor, you have to find and place, or craft the extra actual outer armor pieces first.
