I played when it came out in 2018 and moved on in like January of 2019, but I started playing again here the past couple months. I'm more invested in it now than I was in 2018, and I find it more enjoyable now versus back then.

What drove me away from the game were the ridiculous bullet spongy enemies and the severe lack of build variety. You had to have a power armour bloody gatling build (make more dmg the less health you have) and needed to pump bullets into an feral ghoul twice the mass of said ghoul to brin it down.

Did this change? Can I play without a power armor and still be able to kill a roach with a dirty stick?

Ever since the Wastelanders update and everything since then Fallout 76 really redeemed itself.

Bethesda could have easily abandoned the game after arguably the worst launch of all time, but they stuck to it and this game really is worth experiencing at least once.
