Can you play this game alone with no other players ? like Fallout 4 ?
i dont have a single interest in Online play. But is it possible to play alone ? and is it fun or the game is 100% made in a way that only playing Coop online can be fun ?

It's mostly solo to be honest. There's groupevents and such but you can totally play the game solo. It's like Fallout 4 with some online features.

Just adding my own experience. Played 120+ hours totally solo just doing the quest, never joined a team or public event. It's still good value as a single player game.

There are certain quests and events that require hundreds or thousands of hours to get the equipment to solo them.

They are also a heck of a lot more fun with people.

*****You cant play alone ******
Well, looks like we just cant get rid of other players in the world ? thats so annoying. just started to play and some dude was fallowing me around aggro everything under the sun, absolute immersion breaking. Now i remember why i never wanted to play this game back when it came out.

Getting FO1ST will let you play alone in your own private world. But your experience is unusual, most players leave each other alone even if in the same area. If I'm not in the mood to play the events that pop up, I'll sometimes play for hours without interacting with another player.

You can't really complete quests together. If you are playing with someone else, you have to each complete the quest separately with each other. It's kind of weird. Playing solo is really the way to play it. You may run into someone else or their camp from time to time but it's no big deal.

The map is limited to 24 players so you don't see people most of the time. You primarily run into people during public events and/or quest hub locations.

It's possible to load into a server with no other players, but it won't stay that way. The only way to make it stay that way is to pay for the subscription and play on your own private server.

I'm probably one of the rare few that loved this even at launch. Actually i thought the whole feeling of isolation the game delivered at launch was just perfect.

They have since added a huge amount of extra content including NPC but i've only ever played alone.

Basically play it like a normal Fallout game - except in this game you will encounter real human players inside your game world.

It can be played solo but this is still an MMO, and MMOs generally have tons of features that fans of single-player games generally don't like to see, such as the punishing survival and grinding mechanics whose goal is to prolong your play time and make you want to spend money on monetized items to make your life easier, such as unlimited storage containers. In Fallout 4, all your workbenches are unlimited containers, but not here. The first few hours of Fallout 76 can be enjoyable to anyone. But the punishing mechanics will get to you sooner or later. When your container is maxed out at 1200 weight, you will either have to get rid of your stuff or *pay money* to get the unlimited containers, or rage quit the game. And THAT MOMENT OF TRUTH will decide whether you like this game or not, my friend. You'll see.

Are the containers a pay once item or is it behind the subscription?

They're locked to the subscription, if your sub runs out you will no longer be able to access scrap or ammo containers aside from pulling things out

Yeah that's pretty garbage.
Even a paid upgrade is bad but locking stuff like that behind a sub in a full paid game is a trash move.
