story time:
Today's s scoreboard required you to either scrap a power armor piece or make one. Since I like to explore I always opt to explore and find a power armor piece. But there was no power armor to be found at my top 5 locations. So I reluctantly decided to make one (excavator torso) and then give it to some nube.
I made the piece but for some reason I couldn't find it to drop. I went to my stache, I went to my pipboy and I went to the power armor station. No Torso. However there was a decorative jet pack in my inventory. I said, Huh, I don't remember picking that up.
After some pondering and heavy thinking. I figured out what happened. When I made my torso it went right on to my power armor. With no action by my part. Simply by making it, the game mechanics fit it right on. My decked out PA T60 now had an excavator torso instead of a jet pack.
I was so mad at my self for forgetting this game mechanic, I scraped the PA piece instead of giving it away. Sorry nubes.

but have you checked all your pa frames, you might have it on another
also if it wasn't legendary you could have easily scrapped it

I could not remember which 1 had the jet pack.
Figured it out today.
Today I decided to come back to 76.
It took my jet pack away.
Does the same go for SS armor, we need to craft a new one each time if we replace the chest armor? i'm new to jet packs as well
Nope. Purchased in the atom shop.
My only character I did that.
Any mod is a 1 time craft, can't remove them like in FO4.
Edit: Just wanted to note you can't remove them but can overwrite them with another craft.

Someone with open micro started to talk to me in english, saying... words?? about PA, with a bit of talk i understood he wanted a PA chassis, in 5 seconds found one in watoga and gave it to him, the next thing was he wanted ammo, said some history of returning player, and first i wanted to share info on how to farm it, but no, the guy wanted my resources to make their ammo... ok i though, and finally when the motherf**** was full, and me exiting the game, sent an invitation to be friends...... yes mate, we will be friends, but first, you see that big silo there? it stores a nuclear weapon, just clean your back, it will hurt you, a lot.
The bought jetpacks are alternative designs for the ones in game. If you want it on T-45 you need to know how to craft T-45 jetpacks, if you want it on Hellcat you need to know how to craft Hellcat jetpacks etc.
T series plans can be bought from BoS bots, Excavator from Free States bots, X-01 from Modus production terminal, Union from Gussippie or Expeditions drop, Hellcat from Foundation/Crater and from various treasure maps or SBQ event. If in doubt check bots in Whitespring Mall.

Checked my cloud files option.
"Save game files to cloud" is not an option for me in 76.
