This allways happens when a influx of new players join the game. Even some smaller youtubers cried about they never cheated when they got banned for duping weapons multiple times.
its possible, its also possible that you did stuff a while ago that was ban worthy
PS: Let me put in context, if they have a program to check our inventories IN game, then its legal, they are checking our info stored in their servers (thats why you'll never cheat in an online game, OUR data is stored in an external device), if we change any value in local and have a conflict with the external data, that means you cheated, so ban incoming.
But, if they are using an external program, to enter inside our hard disk's (hacking our antivirus-firewall) to check if we have anything malicious (or not) there, is illegal, and thats why my answer at the beginning refers.
What is more likely? Bethesda breaking international law, risking a multi million dollar lawsuite by stupitity and ignorance on their part OR... Iceseven and Mr.'I don't speak english so I can't hack' Tengu, two randos in the steam forums, used some third party programs to cheat in a game that is super buggy and allowed players to cheat very easly up until recently when the background anti cheat went online? xD lol
