Game closes after 2 seconds?
My games not launched for around a month or so now, just closes after 2 seconds from a black screen and I've tried every fix out there including reinstalling windows. Has anyone had the same issue and managed to find a fix? Currently waiting on a submission ticket on Bethesda.net but don't seem to be getting anywhere.

FROM BETHESDA

Check your antivirus software to ensure that Fallout 76 and Steam are added to the exclusion list(s).

FROM ME

I once also had a problem with a widget i had in my game bar overlay. It was wemod and fallout 76 made me remove it before I could play.

FROM REDDIT

Ranked from top-to-bottom by effectiveness:

Check file integrity through Steam

Execute Game as Admin

Update Windows

Update GPU Drivers

Change the Documents/My Games/Fallout76Prefs.ini File from bFull Screen=1 to bFull Screen=0

Deactivate any overlays such as Overwolf, Discord and Steam

Uninstall MSI Afterburner + RivaTuner Statistics Server (if installed)

Uninstall any old mods

SUPER SECRET TIP WHICH HELPED ME FIX IT: (thanks u/FitPriority2255)
Uninstall Interception Driver (Yeah, you might also don't know that you got it)

Download https://github.com/oblitum/Interception/releases/download/v1.0.1/Interception.zip

Extract the files into a folder

Open an administrator command prompt and type in the following:cd <Path to the folder where you extracted the files> (if you need to switch to a different drive than C, use cd /d <DriveName, for example D:\> and then then do the above)

cd "command line installer"

Then run: install-interception.exe /uninstall

Restart your computer

Launch the game and enjoy!

Deactivate Riot Vanguard

Update DirectX: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35

Disable XMP Profile for your RAM

Disable Overclock of your CPU

If you want to get deeper. Tell me exactly the programs and apps you installed when you reset windows. This would help see where your problem comes from. My game just worked. So you might have a peripheral program or something else that needs addressing. Make a list.

Loki, now dont over react but I want you to try something. Go in to your bios and turn off your XMP. This would rule out if your ram is faulty. All ram performs well at base speed. If the crashing stops you will need to get different ram.

Played for about an hour with no crash.. SO maybe I have a bad module.. shrug.. time will tell really.. crashes have been so random its hard to say at this point.. but am really hoping this is the issue.. cause i've tried everything that I could find but not this.. disabling XMP..
Again appreciate the help..

Appreciate the help so far mate, the only Apps I reinstalled personally are:
Chrome
Steam
Discord
Nvidia’s launcher
Then F76

Weirdly I’ve downloaded Fallout through the Xbox app overnight and it’s allowing me to open up my steam character and play through there. I’m wondering if it’s a fault through steam?
