wrong gamertag

My bethesda account is GreenMachine82 and when i log into Fall out 76 my gamertag says fantasticdaedra62922. how can i get this fixed. i cannot link my steam with bethesda either, it says failed attempt. try again or contact support. and there is no real support, just forum for me to try and find someone else that might have had the same problem.

Can you guys help me figure out what i am doing wrong and what to change to get my name displayed ingame instead of that other random thing?

So, what you're saying is your login name and display names are different? "GreenMachine82" would be your login name and "fantasticdaedra62922" is your display name? I know your login name cannot be changed, but your display name can.

There is real support. Login to Bethesda site and go to support section for Fallout 76. Tell them your issue and maybe they can fix it or tell you what to do.

If your Steam and Bethesda were never linked at all this is probably why it is a random name. Contact support and tell them you cannot link it and maybe they can fix it for you.

No sure what you mean by no real support? I have used it many times and they are very real.

Your steam account was previously linked to Bethesda. Probably when you used creation club. At that point in time you gave it an email address. Then when you bought 76, it automatically made that account. That’s why you can’t link to a new Bethesda account you created.
