A message to the people who put items in the Donation Boxes
I am a new player and have recently started playing. I wanted to say thank you. Your items have made it much easier for me to establish a foot hole in the game. I will make sure to pay it forward once i am a established player. Once again, thankyou for your items.

A lot of the items are randomly generated, but you're welcome nonetheless.

Just be careful because generosity can suck the fun out of the game.

About 3 or 4 items are randomly generated. More then that some one is trying to help. Just give what you are able.

The fun of finding a low level player, and giving them Deep Pocked, Level appropriate, Leather armor. And if you can see their weapon, a upgraded one, and ammo.

I can tell, this set (level 5/leather armor with spiked and deep pockets can carry you for a long run ... !!!

Happened to me with a new character, so able to reach level 25 with it ... !

Sorry, everyone makes mistakes (I myself know this all too well), no big deal, but in this case it completely destroys the meaning of the word so I had to say something.

I got "blessing in the skies" levels of murdering a saying flashbacks from this, apologies.

We used crap laying around before to leave crap for new players.

Games just crap really.

Before there was very little carp to be found, now crap is everywhere and nobody picks it up.

Game wasn't hard at the start, but was interesting to gather materials and items. Now ♥♥♥♥ is just handed out for free because people obviously need to be spoonfed everything.

haha I realized this early on as I wondered... Hmmm there's always ammo type for my current weapon in this thing.

I put things in, I take things out. In. Out.

If there's ammo matching the weapon currently in my hand I'll take it. I usually take plasma grenades too - no idea if they're the best, haven't dug into meta, not going to because I always forget to use them, and then I end up overweight with 150 of the damn things and put them back into a different donation box. But just in case... I am ready!

Anything else vendor/donation box/ground depending on current laziness meter.

Yea they changed that like 2 years back or something. I dunno. It used to be specific to the weapon the enemy was carrying only. Now you can get infinite ammo with any weapon.

Garbage in = garbage out.

It's not a 'donation' box...
2 weeks ago did put in the donation box a lot of items and i really mean a lot, Stims, Radaway, bobby pins, purified water, tons of Legendary items (decent ones). I do run many expeditions so i have tons of items i can't sell or turn in for scripts anymore.

Most sad part is i saw a high lvl player (200+) that did take everything... i mean everything so now i never ever gonna donate stuff again. Just gonna dump it in random places.

Just hate those greedy sods, they ruin it for new players which was expected with the donation boxes.

Yeah it was easy enough to check when you find that exact ultracite ammo you use, just sitting in a donation box... lol

I never make ammo anymore with my rifle/sniper character... Think they overdid it a bit

surprised they didn't create a carroted stick for the donation box like atom challenges for donating 76-760 items ect but then again you collecting any amount of atoms in game is getting discontinued bit by bit over time. of all the daily score "chores" donate an item to the donation box seems like a decent chore that don't pretend that it is some crazy challenge

Why so negative? The Fallout 76 community has been dumping stuff in various containers at the trains stations for YEARS, That has shown the Fallout 76 is not nearly as toxic as other MMO type games. Bethesda does something nice to honor that by creating a donations box that has no limit on it and is easy for players to find. Yet you found some way to crap all over the gesture of goodwill.

Which if you have ever donated stuff at the stations you would know those containers do get full and it can be a pain just to find empty containers to give stuff away.
