anyone else somewhat excited for fishing?

I’m a man of collecting things in games, and I think if they do it right with displayable aquariums and wall-mounted fish, it could be really enjoyable. what does everyone else think

I love fishing in games and if we get wall mounts and aquariums all the better. My favorite game to fish in is FarCry 5. Something about having a quite moment in all that chaos is nice.
What is your favorite game to fish in?

Oh there's fishing coming? Alright then I wonder if it will be a copy-pasta of the fishing from RIFT since both mmos use the same engine.

RIFT doesn’t use the same engine :3 Rift is Gamebyro while FO76 is Bethesda’s Creation Engine.

And yeah fishing, camp pets, dungeon raids, all in December.

Honestly mine was Stardew Valley lol. I don’t really fish in many games but FO76 is one of the only I care about collecting stuff and displaying it.

Gamebryo hatched the Creation engine. Hell it even has a proto version of fallout's shelters and crafting where I caught the base-building itch and built a sprawling 3 floor mansion from scratch. 700+ placed objects in a game that had PROPER camp budgets:

It was really cool back in the day but past its prime. ESO/F76 has it covered now.

Even with a high quality fishing system, I can't imagine going "You know what? I feel like fishing instead of shooting something right now.". FO76 just isn't that game for me. That said, I do sometimes just chill in my camp, and it IS next to a river... So I guess we'll see how it turns out.

Fishing in games can be very relaxing and rewarding depending on what you can catch. Knowing Bethesda you'll fish up an angry Mirelurk Queen every third cast.

My one big gripe is if I'm standing around fishing that means all my food is going to spoil. It's the same reason I don't stay afk in game to leave my shop open longer.

Fishing is 100% not coming out this December; not one single reference or even string was found in the PTS

Watch the Fallout Day livestream. man literally said that they have one more thing for December's update and he held a fishing rod. If that's not fishing, what is it?

If I'm wrong about it being December though, my bad. but hey its coming some point soon in 3-6 months for sure.
