or after 250 pick ups. go to summerville spawn house and pick up all of the books inside.

You basically have an invisible loot list that you have to fill before loot starts to respawn again. So if you pick up an item, say a nuka cola from the fairground, you can't pick that up again or any item that might spawn in that spot until the list resets.

There is a house called, book house, where enough books spawn that you can pick up to reset the list. Do some google fu on it.

There's also some sort of reset timer but don't know how long it takes to reset stuff. Have many toons and occasionally have longer breaks playing some of them, their loots resets at some point.

There is no reset timer for loot, only the 250 item rule. If you collect 250 items and logoff for 2 years it will remain the same until you pick up new stuff.

Enemies have a reset timer however, which is 10 minutes usually.

By my personal experiences they do reset. Don't know how long it takes but if I haven't played some of my toon in several weeks or month all containers have reset.

Believe what you want, but it has been confirmed by data miners that the only thing at work is the 250 rule and this has been known for several years now. Look this topic up online and you will see the same thing, there is no timer.

Something else to consider is world spawns are also subject to pick up by other people. And the loot reset is linked to the first person to get to an area and cause it to reset.

So it's possible that you haven't looted a specific spot, but someone else has and then came back and caused the reset. Not getting the items to spawn. So the items won't be there.

Like said, based on personal experience. Also I wouldn't put that much faith on Beth's loot tracking, loot related systems are broken all the time one way or another.

Just loot everything you can find. Every book, every can. Does not matter. That way you will always trigger the respawn. ;)
