Power armor paints
Sure would be nice if all the power armor paints had versions for all power armor. Just got one of the Inferno ones and I can only use it on my torso and left leg since everything else is Ultracite.

Tell me about it. I run in Hellcat PA, and relatively few paints can be applied to it.:VGRUMPY:

This is less common with the newer stuff at least for basic PA paints. The Inferno paint is an old skin, so what you're really asking them to do is make a new paint job for every paint job that exists when a new power armor is released. That's just unrealistic. They're all different textures and it's not a cut and paste job with paints. Skins on the other hand, change a PA's look to something entirely different, so these should be available on everything.

Yes very unlikely they will update old paints for PA sets that did not even exist when that paint was released. I would not expect them to tbh.

Just my opinion regarding skins... there is a program that lays the item out flat. Then, it can be textured and painted and the program can restore it's original shape, with the original piece, and another shape if need be. I think. A very tedious job to do... there is a free program around that will allow it to be done, I forget the name of it.

Is the program copyrighted.

I believe it is a free program, but maybe Windows paint would be a place to start.

They could make, say, an Inferno skin, that would make any armor look like T-45, and that would be pretty fun.

They could. But it boils down to that there really just isn't enough interest in any one paint job to be worth investing any time into it. And the reality is, if someone really wants to use that paint job, they'll just use the T-45 power armor. Which power armor you're using doesn't make enough of a difference if you really want to use a specific paint job. And as more and more released, it will just be one of many, mostly used for display.
