Hellcat vs T-65 surviveability?
Say I never wanted to die again, but I also don't want to use born survivor perk (worst perk in the game, I hate it, don't try to change my mind, ew, get it away from me), which power armor would help best with this? Hellcat or T-65? Or is the difference barely noticeable and I should just stick with my Union? Because I notice i still take damage sometimes (when not holding a vamp weapon) and that makes me not happy.

Hellcat for Ballistic.
T-65 for radiation / energy.
Union for poison.

Pick the PA you like the best aesthetically because the differences between them are negligible when it comes to damage that actually matters excluding Union because the poison resistance is actually very strong if you end up dealing with enemies that deal it.

At the end of the day, legendary PA with Overeaters will basically make all of them equal except for Excavator which is noticeably weaker than all of the rest.

If you seek immortality in PA, stacking Overeater Sentinel pieces along with damage reduction % perks will get you there.

Overeater's Hellcat

It really does not matter, the difference is not worth it to decide what pa you want. However, the ability to carry more is pretty good, so i would go with Union, wich is also the hardest to get (in terms of time).

- didnt read your question fully, stay with the Union.

Unless you stumble upon super ultra hard hitting enemy which you almost dont, any power armor will do the job of protecting you.

Many still play with excavator and it protects them too for example.
It pretty much just comes down to which armor you like visually pretty much.

Between the two I would go with Hellcat simply because you don't have to buy the plans and can spend the bullion on its mods instead. T-65 has better energy resist but throwing on 1 star legendary electrical absorption will bridge that gap and charge your fusion cores as a bonus. Union PA is probably the best overall though due to its inherent +75 carry capacity and poison resist.

It's situational. Use T-65 for the best damage resistance, which can go up to 700+. Use Hellcat when you really need the extra 12% ballistic resistance, which works even when enemies ignore 100% of your armor, like in Daily Ops Decryption.

Below is my gameplay of Daily Ops Uplink and Decryption. I use T-65 for Uplink, and when I take a beating, I only get tickle damage or none at all, even when my health is super-low. But in Decryption, enemies ignore all my damage resistance, and I have to rely on the 12% damage reduction of Hellcat (plus the 42% damage reduction that all power armor types have):

There is supposed to be a cap, and going beyond 350 doesn't make much of a difference, so the important thing is the resistance on balistic, posion, etc that different power armors have.

I try using hellcat, ultracite and excavator and is hard to notice a diference on damage taken. So i just use excavator with overeater+eletric absorpion+funky duds utill i get union. 100+ carryweight is really nice.
