Broken melee damage after skyline valley.
I'm sure i'm not the only one noticing how their "balance" of damage on melee weapons completely broke the weapons and got them do basically a lot less damage? It's especially showcased when i look at my auto axe and chainsaw who goes up by 5 dmg from eating a tasty yao guai roast that literally gives +170% additional melee damage? It also does it on regular melee, i had 467 and now i got 366 damage on a fire axe (after all food buffs). They did not balance sh*t but more nerfed the f*ck out of melees in favor of the bloodied meta (once again, surprised?) but let me know your thoughts, please and have a good day!

Its not broken, they are trying to balance everything to meet bloodied builds. Zweihander krumps everything easily. chainsaw got nerfed, autoaxe buffed too.

Auto axe buffed? It literally does 100 less damage since last update, the energy got buffed by 20 damage instead, so i lost pretty much 80 and with carnivore build, that's not a buff at all lol

Edit : they did not try to meet bloodied builds at all, they basically punished people for not following the meta. Chainsaw nerf was also unnecessary since it got the damage cut by a whopping half with all buffs! Not only that but tasty meat recipes now clearly does not give the correct 170 to 213% (with TiN) damage buff once eaten.

Scythe is trash, u can't reroll it. But yeah zweihander wrecks things good

Yeah the scythe was meh but can't re-roll it coz BGS suck

Not the best melee to be fair since it's pretty slow and executioner is not the best since most power attacks either struggle to meet 40% on big bosses or kills the enemy too fast to benefit from it since power attacks insta kill most of the time so the big 50% damage is not worth.

I have it, i collect all types of melee weapons, which is why i made this thread about it since it pains to see so many melee weapons being nerfed in favor of meta like always.

Yeah basic damage interaction on melee seems skewed. Seasons of customization again ruined by "balance".

I really wish the developers would leave adjustments to people who understand the concept of destroying game balance and how nerfing is a prime factor. Simply put the most idiotic and amateur change policy (nerfing) that continues to estrange their customer base.

It's no wonder the player base is "funnel" rather than a "pool".

Yeah... because melee totally needed a nerf because it apparently wasn't far enough behind. Maybe i'll just give in, pull the fixer out of storage and put together a bloodied/unyielding build and be another meta zombie. Tired of swimming upstream to play the game how I want.

FULL HEALTH almost NO ADDED damage, and I tromp my way though doing nearly 10k dps (Yes I checked) with autoaxe. Only exception were the 3 robots in that nuke-event in new area, there I was doing around 4k dps.

During daily ops or expeditions, U just sorta walk though mowing the grass down while people need 4-5 shots on weenies. Trust me, It IS NOT yet balanced perfectly. It's getting close, but is not there, melee (ESP autoaxe, maybe ONLY auto-weapons) are still very much 'broken' and epic easymode melee right now.

You serious lmao? I play around melee all the time and at full health, food buffs or not you can clearly see a HUGE nerf on the auto melees and regular melees, i tested damage with and without carnivore buffs and it clearly is either bugged or badly programed (or both) when a melee turns from 200 to 500 to 63 and 366 there's a big issue here. Bethesda never knew how to balance things properly, and if you think buffing a broken unyielding or bloodied build is decent but nerfing an already weak build type is considered "not yet balanced" to you, especially if enemies are bullet sponges then there's no helping you. By calculating food buffs on these melee weapons is even more idiotic when you get a sh*tty +5 damage on a 65 damage chainsaw after eating a tasty yao guai roast with carnivore that is supposed to give +170 additional melee damage. No, bethesda did the "if it ain't broke, break it" like a lot of this game's features and denying that is just copium or literal simping.
