Powerhouse of the Cell Quest - Bugged

I got to the point in the Powerhouse of the Cell quest where I have spoken to Hilda, and collected the sample from the plant. The current quest objective is "Clear the Lost from the Area".

I had to exit the game at that point for RL reasons.

However, when I logged back in to continue, the quest marker is completely missing and I cannot seem to progress any further. I have killed all the Lost I can find, and I have searched the currently accessible parts of the facility thoroughly. The Human Biology wing (?) is locked, as I don't have the keycard to open it yet. I can get back into Hilda's office, but she won't speak to me any more, and doesn't react when I attempt to interact with her.

I have tried fast travelling away and returning, as well as logging out of the game completely and re-attempting. The result is the same - there seems to be no way to progress from this point.

Has anyone else encountered this or found a workaround? I was really enjoying the new expansion up until I hit this wall.

Another update: I got this non-solution from Bethesda support. They didn't seem willing to reset my quest, like for Zbojnik.

So, obviously since I am stuck, I went to this page to stop my recurring Fallout 1st subscription until they fix the issue. Steam Recurring Subscriptions . I mean, why pay subscription for something that is clearly broken, and where I can not progress.

Dang, looks like I'm not alone on this one. I progressed through the quest fine until it told me to enter the tunnel around where I collected the sample from "Henry," the plant. Once I got to that room, the quest quit displaying in the upper right hand corner of my screen. I went to my Pip Boy to check DATA, and "The Powerhouse Of The Cell," was still selected saying that I got a key and need to enter the tunnels/pipes or whatever. I de-selected the quest, selected some other quests as active, and then switched TPOTC back to active but . . . it still didn't show up in the upper right corner as anything. So I went to try to enter the pipe, but it won't let me. I tried closing the game completely, restarting it, restarting my PC, trying more, but nope, nothing. Now when I log in, I have NO history of that question whatsoever. It's like I never go it, never attempted it, anything. It isn't in completed and isn't an option for a current quest.

This is bad . . . What a bummer, ugh . . .

Anyone have any ideas!?

Outside of contacting Bethesda support, and wait 10 days, I don't know.

I had the same bug / glitch, quest disappearing, Hilda unresponsive. I returned to the Greenhouse section where Henry the plant is, picked up the key to the cave door off the bench/table to the right then switched servers. After joining back in the quest markers were back and I could complete it. This worked on both PC and Xbox. Good luck. Stewart

yeah for me the alyssa is bugged and not going any furter
Its normal to bring all kind of new things because we will stay longer and the sell more stuff ..
So lets wait with reapairing quest bugs what breaks the game in some point ..

This is the strat that they use against customers ..

In my situation I lost all of quest markers, but they still work - I needed to find them manually, with help of yt

Unfortunately, this didn't work for me.

Fortunately, I finally got Bethesda support to reset the quest! It took 3 1/2 months, but now it's done =)

And it worked!

So if your bug is no Lost spawning on "Clear out the Lost" quest step, ask Bethesda support to reset the quest!

It's 2025 and I just had this problem. Seriously, Bethesda? A year has passed, how ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ disgusting.

How quickly we forget the garbage Bethesda makes. Besides, Skyline Valley has a childish script that's embarrassing. Even ChatGPT would have written a better script. Do you take the scriptwriters out of kindergarten, or is it because you hire political activists?


I'm not even going to bother asking Bethesda for help, I've done it so many times to fix a stuck mission... and they don't care if it fails for thousands of players... this time I'm going to do what I should have done years ago, uninstall and never return to this game.
