Least toxic community?

Yeah most people are pretty cool. Ive come across a few dregs over my time playing though. The kind that make you cringe and feel kind of sorry for them for actually thinking their trash behaviour is cool.

Most recent example is some dude in public events with modded fatman firing like an LMG. Literally everyone there giving hum thumbs down and angry face emotes and saying wild stuff over VC.

But the consensus is that most people are pretty cool, and you always get at least some of those "look how cool I am" or "Im bout to ruin everyones good time because I feel like it" people in every MP game no matter what.

I find the forums to be a significantly more toxic experience than actually playing. But thats a whole other conversation.

That's only because there is no meaningful way to interact with eachother ingame besides emojis.

If PvP was enabled I would kill everyone i saw that was below me in levels. And if there was a chat im pretty sure there would be alot of toxic abuse ingame chat aswell, not from me but in general.

Dont fool yourself. I've seen a lot of toxic people in this game. Don't be fooled by people's appearance of kindness. I've seen stalkers, griefers and even cases of doxing.

most of this is due to in-part having no text-chat at all (without modding). mind you, there's toxicity out there in this game. most may have voice turned off but some people will kick you from their public team if they dont see you contributing fast enough or killing things fast enough. some people will follow you for no reason (without emoting or trying to communicate ex. by jumping etc.) in hopes to try to annoy you. or outright try to grief you (rarest ever since they nerfed the pvp aspect), all of these dont happen all the time but you'll surely see a case or two of toxicity once in a while

mmo community changed alot, im playing mmo since the UObeta in 1998, players found ways to harm new players, newbies, we had a murder system, all that was not called toxic but blowing up newbies with DP chests sure would be nowadays, in short most mmo had ways to be "toxic" i think fo76 just minimized the ways players can harm other players for fun, in fo76 are generous players and those who want to help, we had this always in mmo, so FO76 is not much different from other mmo, but now compared to other mmo its sure more friendly here, times changed and alot player use the games/mmo to "vent" their emotions which is sure a wrong way. FO76 does its best to avoid this happens, hence no chat. I think it works kind of, with friends you can play with voice anyway.

Cremator users are toxic they know you cant see ♥♥♥♥ and persist to act like they are the ♥♥♥♥ blinding everyone in events and killing everything so no exp

this. no chat = less griefing

I think not having chat is a breath of fresh air compared to other games. I enjoy not being forced into social interactions after a long day.
