What's the effect of canteen mod on backpack???

I just notice there's canteen mod on backpack but no description/effect so I'm curious what canteen mod can do?

I tested it and it does not give the Well hydrated perk or keep your hydration up. After looking all over online, the only thing people seem to think as of right now, is that it is bugged and either not doing what its intended to do, or its not something that we have actually unlocked, and its just bugged. But so far, there are no actual proven benefits for the Canteen backpack Mod as of yet, unfortunately.

On PTR it restored 10 Thirst constantly, I was at full thirst after a couple of hours despite not drinking anything.

well unfortunately it doesn't do any of that at the moment. Again, I tested it and my hydration kept going down, and I didn't gain or lose the well hydrated status when I put it on and took it off. Looks like whatever it was supposed to do when it went live isn't happening. So I guess its bugged and Bethesda hasn't patched it yet, although they already did some hot fixes since the launch of the new expansion/season.

Kinda old post sorry in advance on a Necro. Where do we get the Canteen mod, I forget. One of my characters have it, and want to get for another one.

It was a Fallout 1st exclusive called The Life Above Ground Bundle with the Skyline Valley. It came with Underground Logo Player Iron, Vault-Tec Machine Gun Paint, Vault-Tec Hellcat Power Armor Paint, Vault Survivor backpack, and the Vault Survivor Flair as a bonus for those that bought the pack they also received the Canteen Backpack Mod.

If you didn't get the pack currently the only way to get Plan: Canteen Backpack Mod now is as a reward, from Raid mission final stage however it only has a 10% chance to be obtained.

I do not have the canteen mod, but someone gifted me a pack with the canteen. I had not noticed it do anything until after Gleaming Depths. Now I have not needed to drink water AT ALL. I have been running, carry too much, 3/4 radiated (I did use a decontamination sprayer to cure that), Solid 100% hydration.
I thought my character was bugged at first, though wasn't really going to complain about it lol

Buff shows in Pip-boy status;
Text displayed in the armor bench that it will slowly hydrate you;
I took off the pack, watched hydration tick down to 98%, put the pack back on and watched hydration tick back to 100%

Water was already no worries, some one built me a water cooler and than I got a water purifier hooked up.

Food and water are too easy IMO, but there are other games to play if I want that challenge I guess.
