All chems will work, not just the fix. Psycho, Buffout, Mentats, you name it.
You can go full feral and make up for the -5 endurance/-30 max hp by choosing perks to get Glow very easy. Go to West Tek and get hundreds of toxic goo, you'll have unlimited stimpaks basically
Or at events, ghouls will now be the star of the show where radiation is concerned. Pfft lol nice rad scrubber bro, let me just full double heal instantly from it
For a non-melee character, sane is far better. Ferals boost melee damage, but drastically lower accuracy (both in and out of VATS).
For a melee character, feral is probably better. Sure you have less HP, but you also do 150% melee damage. With full glow, you only get a 15% or 30% boost to melee damage (from the increased Strength). But you also can't use chems, as those would start making you sane again. I would personally prefer a sane melee ghoul. Though considering my ghoul is using Unarmed weapons and is a cannibal, a feral ghoul would fit.
Stimpacks don't increase or add Glow but fix broken limbs.
Certain chems DO reduce Feral. Others do not.
