You can't prevent the updates and for your first question, I would answer yes to all three

The update will allow you to play as a ghoul and it also starts a new Season. I suggest letting the game update.

Besides, you have to let it update in order to continue playing the game. It's an online only game. You can't play it offline as you can with most single player games.

lol it's bugthesda's patch day, many bugs guaranteed, some fixes to certain things but 2x-3x that in new bugs will appear there will be multiple downtime delays and plenty of server issues :P

if you are new to the game i feel sorry for ya, but if you've been playing a while, it's just a normal day lol
