Yeah, it's an old bug that's been around as long as the event itself. Unfortunately the devs are too incompetent to fix it.
One suggestion to keep it from happening is don't melee push him into a wall.

Also avoiding explosives apparently helps a bit.

then i must be lucky af because i play since launch and it never hhappened to me, at least not as a permanent problem, it heppened but he always came out by himself, not this time, it was 10 minutes underground and never came back making the event fail

Bow against boss? And you say it didnt happen to you? It feels like you havent even played this game yet

been an issue since day 1 unfortunately

if it happens SOMETIMES he'll clip through the ceiling and you can get 10 seconds of damage on him before he clips through the floor

about once a minute he'll pop back

otherwise just try try again

Because... If you watch an old Quakecon dev video, the devs built this like an old school MMO raid.

They expected the players to form up the raid 'trinity' of healer/tank/dps. It was tested as such with a melee player playing the tank role and tanking Earle in the middle of the room.

Devs and players don't play the same way. Players 'cheat' (devs cheat too, but mostly god modes or higher dps). Sadly the game isn't robust enough to deal with players playing in unexpected ways or ways added/improved later such as auto melee.

never played with bow or crossbow nor built any character for it, i am an old style collector you could say? i build a character in a way and try to perfect it and then i move on a new chharacter in another type of build and etcetera, and you know that in this gamme without paying money you can take a long time to get the exact build u want

its sad because the most annoying thing i was used to was in that same fight to get my character stuck behind a wall when it casted the fear, the boss never stayed the whole time stuck incapable of taking damage, it happened, but in a little time he would come back, this time it was the enterity of the event time...

To perfect build in F76 you need to maximize legendary perks needed for that build (6 at least), you need top armour + mods, top weapon (of your choice) + mods and a lot of practice with that build. The way you play, starting all over again - you can't accomplish that

"It's not a bug, it's a feature!"😁

Even if it wasn't bugged it'd still be a bullet sponge bore.

managed to finish the 1st, i had it half done (before legendary extras)in the bethesda launchher and it took me the hours you see on my prof + almost double time and i only got lucky to end it because i had a lot of perk cards to waste to upgrade thhe legendaries..., xD the archer is my 2nd try

Just to be clear - I am not even trying to tell how to play this game, but what triggered me is the word "to perfect". This game does not have "classes", so basically the more time you invest in one char the more options you'll have in the end
