If pen and paper, and decoding cypher's is not your thing, Go on-line and look up the current code, enter key card, enter code. Pick area, Launch.
Use power armor, and heavy weapons if you can't go silent, or stay hidden. You will figure that out, when you need to do that.
Radaway, and Radsheld, and Glowing Rad-resistance Blood Packs, and one of the Bloat Fly recipes for more rad resistance, or one of the plant based ones. For the Reactor Section.
Or Sneak, use Stealth Boy's and Fixer for more stealth, not for firing, but the bonus to stealth.
Or Do the quest for Foundation up, to When you get the Stealth Suit Or Buy it from Foundation, with Gold Bullion.
I have two Characters, that have Launched Nukes. If you go hot, and shoot your way through the Silo, you might need to more ammo, for the fight your trying to create, after the Nuke Drops. Sneaking, takes time. Running and gunning, maybe less. But, with the latest buffs, that might be a problem.
The other 3, were for the old, Daily Level Up, requirement. Before, Re-roller's came out.
Its just a challenge, There are guides. On Steam, and on the internet.
Or luck out, and A Teammate Launches a Nuke. I had the quest active, trying to see what to do with the Cipher Letters at Mama Dolce, going to the basement to see if the terminal could help.
I hoped there would be a terminal, or code book, holotape, holotape program, but No. Have to look up how to solve the Cipher, make your own pen and paper solution, or computer program solver, or look it up on-line.
And a teammate launched a Nuke, Quest Completed. First Character.
Hope this helps.
Sure you can. Easier in the sense you can skip the decryption process and code piece retrieval but, it does not make a difference once inside. I decrypt inside the silo cause its an unusually peaceful place. Good for focus. In the end, the code piece decryption is more of a brain-game.
His guide is good but both my (now 3rd) characters aren't geared for it solo.
I haven't grouped in so long.
I don't care about the Nuke target. I've stated many times if I did then the group could choose the target.
If the codes are known then can one simply enter it??
In a group could someone else do it or since I've got the quest I'd have to?
1). The codes are the same for every server, for every player for the week.
2). Once you get into the control room and launch prep completes. The first person to swipe their launch card gets to enter the codes. Once the codes have been entered, nobody else can enter codes.
3). Once you have input the codes, you launch.
4). Being teamed with someone who presses the button and launches the nuke will complete the quest for you. Even if you aren’t in the silo.
Huh.
IDK anyone who plays and my free time tends to be sporadic but a few hours on some days.
Like I've stated, I just want the quest done and my main has IDK how many Nuke card stored up.
With the higher level players focusing on RAIDS there haven't been many nuke launches on the servers I play on lately so i decided to use them up and launch a couple a day.
So I launched a nuke aimed at the robots.
Lots of players showed up and they were taken out quickly.
I quit the game for a while and when i returned I went to launch another.
It all went smoothly until it came to launch.
I had used the same Silo because once you enter a valid code for a silo you don't have to enter it again for that week not realising that there is also a character cooldown which Google says is 3 hours per character per silo across servers.
So I had to wait 15 minutes twiddling my thumbs.
I launched at the robots again and it was just me and another 200ish level player character that turned up to start things rolling. (Other players obviously in the RAIDS)
We got one robot to half health but they along with the little robots swarmed us and I died.
So did the other player, multiple times.
We kept at it and just before the timer ran out other players trickled in and the robots were thankfully defeated.
