Honestly, just go finish it. If you're not ready, they might be challenging, but they can still be completed. Then you can start a new one. Alternatively, they reset on Monday whether you're done or not. There's nothing to get locked out of or miss out on with these. So, don't stress it.

There is no reset or tasks for expeditions. You can do them all day if you want.

When you finished it, did you talk to Lennox and did she fly you home?

Did you check to see if you have any quests disabled?

I have not traveled to the districts with out expeditions, but it should work the same. You would have to star a new expedition, you should be able to abandoned old expeditions.

Normally when you start an expedition you open your map and click on the vertibird icon at the top of the map or press the "R button" on your keyboard.
Then a menu opens up which allows you to pick a destination.
Are you saying that when you open that menu you can't select a destination to start a new expedition but you can select the option to travel to Atlantic City?
