how to turn off player titles?

Yes.

If you gold CTRL-ALT-DEL, select Fallout 76, and click “End Process”, they go away.

Alternately, you could cover the bottom left corner of your monitor with duct tape.

…or borrow a set of big-boy pants and hope they trigger you less.

can probably mod them out with xtranslator, replace with a space or null (empty) string

Never do until I can undo. I'm wondering if these titles are available in other languages purely because some may be reeaally long then, LOL. I prefer smaller footprint on team status.

More importantly, why is my inventory being further bloated with these NOTES that say Player Title: Mutated (29). What is the purpose of these?

Maybe Fried Eyes in a Basket. Potato Salad, Steak and Shake, Stuffed Potato, Sour'd Creamy Potato, No Chives just Eyes in a Basket. Head Potato in a Basket (that could go 2 ways). Spud in a Basket, Basket of Spuds.
