Game seems to freeze a lot. Is it just me?
Been playing on pc now for just under 300 hrs. One thing i have noticed since day 1 of playing is, damn does this game freeze on the main menu like a lot. Like an unusual amount of times does this game freeze having pressed no buttons just loading the main menu. Even after getting into the game does it freeze more than any other game i have played and this problem seems to be pc specific as i have also played 500ish hrs on ps4 and dont ever remember this being as big a thing as i am seeing here.

Do other people experience this? i cant alt f4 out, i cant open task manager and close the game, only thing i can do is cnt+alt+del and log out or restart pc. Both losing everything i may have open in background(Big deal boohoo save your crap b4 you play). Has anyone experienced this and found a fix?

I dont think this is a My PC issue as this is one of the least hungry games i pay and the only game i seem to have a consistent problem with so if the answer is its your pc then dont bother, looking for real fixs or conversations on the matter.

Specs:
Cpu- Ryzen 7 5700g
Gpu- Rtx 4060Ti
Ram-32gb
2 ssd's 1 hdd with but tons of space
honestly forgot what Asus motherboard this thing has but its not crap.

I have seen some players have issues playing the game on their pc if they haven't disabled any motherboard graphics chips that they may have in the BIOS settings.

I do have onboard graphics, but it is disabled.
I dont have any trouble playing the game. Frame rate is great at max settings.m Have tried lowering, but that didnt seem to help none. The problem is really just getting into the game. Once in game, freezing does happen from time to time, but the real challenge can be just getting past the start screen.

dont mind me, trying to stay relevant just a bit longer :O
i7 14700K 4090. Да, иногда игра зависает и после закрывается, это проблема не из-за железа

The 76 client is already unstable, but I feel that the current version has reached the worst level. Sudden freezes and hardware resets completely destroy the desire to continue playing the game. Bethesda should fix this soon.

CPU core limiting was effective in my PC environment, but it is of course only a temporary solution.:VGIRL:

Many glitches are so random that I don't blame hardware plus many games that are online only seem to have these qualities. It's the nature of the beast.

My game freezes when I fast travel. I time yesterday, and today 3 times. I am now validating file integrity.

It just froze on verify document acceptance, haven't even loaded the game yet.
I got the same freeze-every-other-minute on my ancient rig here (1060, 4770k) - alt+tab, rightclick on the fallout process -> go to details -> change cpu cores, remove checkmarks on core 4, 5, 6 & 7, and done. no freezes anymore

edit / argh isnt it possible to access taskman through the ctrl+alt+del screen?

Since the last update my game constantly freezes during Events. Very frustrating to use up tons of ammo only to be frozen out of the game before getting rewards.

Yep, I am getting some complete drops to the Desk Top lately.

Never suffered the "game crashes too much" xp before firsthand but now I do share and suffer. For about 5 days I'd guess. Sometimes I even manage to come back to the team/event/whatever I was having fun with but - most of the time not.

I've had a couple ctds for sure. The other day I ran into a glowing behemoth, decided to open the encounter with a molotov. Moment it hit? Crashed to desktop, right outta nowhere. The engine at its core, from my understanding, is basically fallout 4's engine that got jerryrigged into what we know as 76. Fallout 4 wasn't the most stable game by itself. In an online environment..even worse.
