Starting level 50 fresh character.
I would like an option to start as a level 50 character out of the vault, I think there is no point to level-up from 0 to 50 otherwise, this saves the time and I could start building character from the start.
This is my main hope with the release of Ghoul addition.
Edit:
Or, level-less gear with character levels to unlock perks.

OKIE DOKIE. So would you like all the perk cards and building and cooking also. A level 50 who can't even get dirty water and cook it with out dying from rads would be kinda hard. Gonna wear level 1 armor-your level 50 won't know how to make any armor or even a level 10 Board with nails. Coming out of the Vault and running into a level 50 Super Mutant might be a little rough.

Why 0 to 50? 0 to 300 in one click, with all legendary perk, and a large pizza each time you log in

Is that like the idea you get hired as a loading dock worker and are promoted to CEO the next day?

To be honest, I would rather if gear level was completely removed, the only level system would be for perks and legendary perks.

In a datamine there will be an option to have a character start at level 50.
Like the level 20, it will have base level 50 gear. It's being done so people can dedicate that one to being a Ghoul without having to start over which IS boring given all the quest you have to complete to enable Gold bullion and those vendors.

I started a 3rd char and focused on Events more than anything and hit 50 faster than I ever have on the other two.
That char is nowhere near geared well for it's build but it's progressed faster.

Reason why I think it's best to start as level 50 fresh or have level-less gear is because of mission rewards at low level cant be upgraded to maximum levels, it's either come-out of vault power-level to max level or save the time and start at maximum level.
Best if Bethesda completely remove levels from gear.
Why would you want to skip the worst part of the game? oh...

In my mind one of the main points of starting a new character is the is to start fresh. If you started at level 50, you would be encountering level 50 enemies but have nothing usable to kill them, or perk cards to build around, or plans to use, or locations to FT to. If you are gonna start over, start over. I don't see the point in "starting over" if you don't wanna actually start over. Just my thoughts. I do see how starting over could get boring if you do it a lot tho (i have never started over so dont martyr me)

Hypothetically speaking, if you start at level 50 you do get level 50 gear and corresponding perk cards to what build you choose, which helps you have a start point.
I would prefer if we have level-less gear which scales along your character level, then yes starting fresh from level 1 would make more sense.

Almost everyone who creates a new/additional character already has one or more. So there's no need to talk about equipment anyway, because I can equip the new character very well. Even if I start from scratch, there are ways to get very good armour + weapons near Wayward which easily last until 50 ;)

I would tie this to one condition: If you already have a character over 300, then you are allowed to create one at 50.

Especially new players should go through the main stories and familiarise themselves with the game and thus unlock the important content.
Personally I dislike the “start at level 20” option.

And if you want to get to level 50 FAST. It’s can be done in an hour or less with the right team.

Yes, like I stated in previously, you can power-level but in my opinion is waste of time.
