Bethesda is in the habit of cut-paste when it comes to this game (which can account for a lot of bugs). The server assets for NW were shifted to custom worlds, NW no longer exists. A lot of assets were purged as well during the legacy removal update.
Face it, it is gone for good. Those who had the desire (old Battle Cry staff) and talent (former Bethesda devs) have long since resigned Bethesda, and from accounts have no desire to ever return.
Because there is a demand for it.
Except there wasn't enough demand to keep it active. Not enough demand, not enough atom shop sales.
Business follows the money.
Part of their problem was not making it clear that your NW character was linked to your adventure mode account and there were items you could only get by playing NW. It took me a few months to realize that, and once I started playing I was hooked. Yeah there were a few "hackers", more like cheaters, like there are in all online shooters. But it wasn't enough to ruin it for me or I wouldn't have sunk all the hours I did into it. I'm no stranger to online shooters. I've been playing the best since Quake, Unreal, Counterstrike, Tribes, and Planetside. And Nuclear Winter was a good online shooter. It just needed some tweaks and some kind of anti-cheat measures.
We knew. We didn’t care.
So, with no flags for flying, i.e, not touching the ground for an extended amount of time, also, being under the map, also beyond the edge of the ring of fire, then. No. Why bring back this hacker fill mode?
