Orders from Maria Chavez - A note that can sometimes spawn on a Responder corpse down the stairs from the Vault.
Overseer's log - Vault 76 - Holotape, inserted into the overseer's terminal in her office, or obtained from Pennington outside the Vault.
Scouts' Life - issue #01
Nuka Tapper - Holotape game, inserted into the terminal in the player character's room (fixed spawn and is otherwise not obtainable outside of randomized magazine spawns).
CAMP - The player's C.A.M.P. is obtainable here.
Pip-Boy 2000 Mark VI - Next to the player's door.
Welcome to the Wasteland - A note, nailed to the rookie donation box near Pennington.
IIRC there were a couple of stimpacks. water. and some junk items.
You won't miss anything from inside the vault. Anything in there can be found elsewhere in the world as well. Which is just as well, because there is no way back in.
Everything is given to you automatically when you leave the vault. Open your pipboy and press Z to deploy your camp. You do not need to manually pick up anything at all inside Vault 76.
ahh. but you only live twice
I think the only things you don’t get added to your inventory if you go running out of the vault are the holotapes and magazine.
The sad thing is there is so much stuff on there that they don’t let you pick up.
Way back when the model Jeep (or whatever the Fallout equivalent is) could blow up and kill you. It was just a shrunk model of the actual car and exploded with the same force...
The holotape for the game has always been given to me upon exiting. The Overseers holotape will be given to you by the robot outside if you don't acquire it before leaving. So you still get both of those, though one of them does require talking to the robot.
As for the magazine, I've never gotten it and it does indeed require you to pick it up before leaving. It is also mostly useless. 30% less rad from food for 30 minutes is mostly pointless, especially since you never actually need to eat and drink anymore.
