although its possible they adjusted it so that if you are close to major server busy things (ex. nuka world, wayward, golf course) that you get less
ISSUES do exist where certain things (ex. turrets) can fall under the map and take up space and not be used...
might be worth scrapping the camp location to somewhere else entirely then returning to your chosen local
Prefabricated pieces like Pittsburgh Palace or Makeshift Mansion take up far more space than individual building pieces, but by size comparison they're easier on your camp budget.
Put your crafting/repair benches in your vault if you're still shy on space. They take up more than most other camp objects excepting prefabs and turrets.
Definitely scrap your blueprints and move your camp location (even if it's just two feet to the right) IF these didn't work for you.
**last thing, make sure you don't have a bunch of stuff in Camp 2's Storage tab. Stuff stored there still takes up budget even though it isn't placed. This is usually the problem for me when I encounter that situation
