It also has to alternate with Elder Scroll games right?

And Season Items. Food Stuffs, ammo, and other asset generation, for the next game.
Takes a little to get into it if you're new to modding. It's not too hard, though. And if I can figure it out, I'm confident most people can.
None of the people who even made 76 are still there (except a few nepo hires, you know whom). The folks they still got can't even implement basic QOL updates, or roll out story updates in one go. STILL waiting on Windy at Millepost Zero, and the Mole miner vendor.
Microsoft already keeps them afloat, not paying them F01st money isn't gonna change the modern work/company culture of the video game industry and the world in general.
Microsoft have been trying to get Todd Howard to allow another studio to make a Fallout game. So far he has denied the requests...
The TV show being unexpectedly successful and BGS not having anything to capitalise on it made Microsoft take notice. The failures of Starfield and Redfall could see Microsoft step in and see what they can do legally.
Bethesda's too slow development cycle won't win over investors who they now have to answer to.
Are you insane?
No for real are you insane?
If they cannot learn from that, fo5 and beyond(or the next es game or anything they managed to pinch off and plop into a bucket) will be far less than shining turds that SF was, and players will turn from this company and never bother coming back.
Stopping 76, which is pretty much all they got left to get any future funds from, will just make M$ Sell off / scavenge whatever is left of the company and cut their losses. ANd honestly, if SF is an example of what they can now achieve, they deserve nothing less.
This ain't the Bethesda of 2000-2005 era. All those guys are gone, and what we have had since 3 was just garbage layered onto old garbage.(And yes, I am clearly saying that fo4, skyrim, were both not the best they could manage, and only managed any level of 'decent gaming' cuz of the stuff that came before, neither was really breakout gaming and was all reliant on work done by guys who long ago left the company.)
