Questions about backpacks.

So getting back into the game after some years away. I've always used a demoncat backpack. I didn't realize it was another highly customizable piece of equipment. It looks like you can have backpacks with much higher carry weight. I think mine is only 20lbs. Can I mod my demoncat backpack to carry more weight? Seems like if I can carry more weight with a different backpack, that's worth a lot.

Athletic badge done. Archery badge almost done. Then I need to find one more 'world' badge to do to see what that does (0/3) and then I have 3/4 of something else for the badge mission. I have to look closer to see what that one is on my missions directly above the world badge progression.
