Anti armor gatling plasma
I have a anti armor gatling plasma with these stats: legendary mods, anti armor 1star, rapid 2 stars, lightweight 3 stars, the only 4 star mod I have for it is viper (not installed), rest of stats prime receiver, rifled barrel, standard core receptacle, reflex site (circle), beam focuser, and armor ace paint, and my damage is 65/65. I checked utube and guys on there are running almost same stats as mine, yet they are getting over 200 damage. Anyone tell me what I am doing wrong, this kind of damage I am doing doesn't work very good in raids. Thanks for any help.

Same perks, same legendary perks, same food/chem buffs?

Just a noob so take it for what it is worth. SPECIAL stats affect lots of things, and if you have a normal "Fallout" SPECIAL build of a couple skills at 15, a few midrange, and a few low you aren't where you need to be for this game. The Bloody/Unyielding crowd rolls with about 15 extra to each SPECIAL stat. Are you heavily mutated? You get significant boosts from stacking mutes with almost no cost to minimize downsides. Also, there is a lot of buffs they are using. For example, one I just learned about are the beverages. Have you done Biv's daily quests to unlock all the recipes? I believe Hi Voltage Hefe is a energy weapon damage boost. Also, what enemy mob are we talking about. I belive the companion Adelaide gives a buff to dmg vs robots and those in the know use this. There are a ton of "hidden", tribal knowledge type things in this mess of a game and the lack of in game chat makes it almost impossible to learn anything, even if helpful people are around.

You do not have the stinging core receptacle and accelerated nozzle. I can mod your GP for you if you want, assuming that it is currently tradeable.

Thank you, what is your in game name? Does these mods increase the damage?

Candidia6, I have a lot of legendary mods, but not that one. If you want a different one, I will check and see if I have it, I will also take the free modded gp if you still want to give it.

Do you have a Pinpointers 4th star box? If so, that is crazy-good on the Gatling plasma outside of VATS. it basically lets you “critical” like in VATS, but when just aiming manually at a weak point.

In some of the Raid encounters, I’m not able to keep my AP up, so VATS isn’t an option. Still, I’m getting around 350 damage, and I still don’t have the stinging core mod.

Pinpointers really is a badass legendary.

My IGN is Perelandra.

The mods do not increase the damage of your GP directly; the stinging core receptacle comes with armour penetration, and the accelerated nozzle increases your GP's rate of fire. Your overall damage output is therefore increased as a result.
