i played solo the first 250 hrs and had a good time with all the Quests.
You can compare the solo campaign with the campaign to fallout 4.
with full voice overs in different languages, what not every company does.
The game will be fun until around lvl 30 after that it starts to grind. So around 50 hrs if game play if you play normally and do not meta.

You still have to learn some game mechanics to avoid PVP. You don't like a situation, server hop and that's it.
Beside that, there's a learning curve, but plenty of tools (wiki) and videos to set you in the right direction, I mean making errors is part of the game too ... !
It's been so long I don't remember when I last did.
Solo is doable and not hard. With whatever build you like and decent gear anyone can solo.
Joining events solo is a GREAT way to get lots of XP and items.
Towards the end of the main questline and others it will get harder as expected.
76 is always online. Griefers are a TINY, insignificant # of people who've made bad life choices.
Only join "Casual Team' for the Bonus and play by myself.
F76 isnt a MMO. Only 24 players per server max.
It's a Multiplayer Game that you can easily play Solo.
If you have the Fallout 1st Sub you can have your own Private Server and actually play alone (not as fun)
