Interesting that PTS is going live at a time the live game has some major flaws... I guess vacation time isn't to blame?
It's live. 42.8gb download.
Judging from what info IS out there right now, it looks to me that you pretty much HAVE to be come a ghoul to even see/do the new content (story related to ghouldom?) - is this how it is, or can one do the story and NOT become a full body syphilis sufferer?
Also, are the ghoul upgrades really that OP? They do seem they are doubling down on any 'boost' a non-bloodied character build can do, so much so they surpass actual bloodied players in every way except possibly, damage output(and even that seems they have tripled what a non-ghoul full health can do) (As well as removing any of the requirements full health would want to keep his health high, allowing even MORE possible output)
IDK.. i rather not be a ghoul cuz i enjoy having my ... nose... and other body parts not held together with bone :P
From the sounds of it the quest is about trying not to die from radiation poisoning and becoming a Ghoul is the counter to that. At the moment BGS are allowing one free return to human but not allowing going back to a Ghoul (PTS only, not likely to be so strict on live).
The Ghoul seems powerful but will require constant micro managing of glow and feral meters. That sounds like it'll be via chems and food (they don't 'need' to eat or drink but the radiation part will still work).
I'll try the PTS to see how it goes before going all in when it goes live. As I see it now I think I'll only ever do the quest once on one character specifically made for that role (levelled without questing to see if any changes occur. Probably not as you can just wear a disguise...).
The biggest change I think will be Ghouls can't mutate. Their perks seem to give them similar powers to mutations. That'll knock some of their strength down and shift the balance to perk allocation, yet... many perks will also cost less so there is no 'hard choices'...
