'The Catalyst' quest bug - does anyone know how to bypass?

Got constant repeating bug, dialogue just stops and hangs after certain words of dr. Blackburn. The game itself still working, got messages from events, can use mouselook etc, but no way to skip or exit that dialogue, only way is to terminate game process.

Quest bugs, try : activate/deactivate quest, make sure where is the quest's marker and be sure about your progress, server hop, others may add to this ...

Tried everything: various dialogue options, relogging, even rebooted comp. That dialogue hangs on: 'I'm afraid you'll have to give in on this one...' and there is no further progression, nor the exit from dialogue.

haha no they won't

your best bet as always is to join a private server where the issues are often not present (better server conditions + the server hasn't had main quests done on it yet)

Hi, when doctor Blackburn speak to let him go, the conversation get blocked, waiting doesn't change, you have to force close the game.
When back on serv and getting back to the conversation. The way to debug the quest was for me, to pass the bugged dialogue with leftclick before he finished, when Blackburn tell about we should listen to the scientists and let him join them inside the room, and the conversation could follow correctly.

It won’t let me converse with him though.

He’s on his knees, cuffed between the Paladin and Knight and when you approach them — they only want to chat as if there wasn’t a quest to talk to them about …

When you’re in West Tek, there’s a laser wall that blocks the door — nothing allows you to progress the BoS storyline …?

I read a short time ago that Bethesda are preparing a HotFix that is supposed to address 3 issues.
Rad Specialist perk card causing other cards to unequip.
The Catalyst Questline becoming incompletable.
The Ghoul Trasformation not completing.
..along with looking into what's happening to jetpacks.

I hope this is fixed soon CATALYST started automatically when I was at west tek last week. I then did all the quests leading up to this one, but I cannot proceed further.
