Black Powder Rifle

Went looking for the black powder rifle at locations marked on the wiki (Philippi Battlefield Cemetery, Prickett's Fort, and ran over to Whitespring Resort). Being level 17, I should be able to use it, right? Any help would be appreciated in finding one!

I haven't seen one that low of level before. I think level 45+

everything you find in world should be leveled to you(ie not other players). it has 15/25/35/45 stages. you would probably find the level 15. whitesprings vendor also has plans.

Probably a high level player have passed before you to spawn it at high level (Black Powder Rifle). Server hop (s) and maybe it will spawn at your level ... .

Whitesprings didn't have any for sale (though they did have the plans for it) and I didn't think about another player running ahead and grabbing one. I'll have to run by and check again!

i remember getting one before that level i was probably in the 20s and was able to used it.

those locations still have them but can be looted by other players. server hoping is a options though.

You already went to the Whitespring resort you said? How comes you didn't get the plan from Flintlock then? Too pricey maybe?
Anyways, you could try the garrahan estate, I've been there just 2 days ago and I remember seeing it in its display case.

So this is strange, when I go back to the spawn locations, some of the cases where the rifle is supposed to spawn has .50 ball ammo in it, but no firearm of any kind. Might just have to farm caps to buy the plans and build one

That's because someone took the gun.

The gun usually spawns with .50 Ball ammo next to it.

Yeah, that's what I put together. Seems like the other half of the time I've tried switching servers, all of the cases are empty, even if their glass doors are closed. Guessing that also means someone took everything?

I got an Instigating one when I was like level 30ish, so maybe the loot tables aren't in your favor so far.

Seems that way. Oh well! I'll just farm to get the crafting recipe then, not the end of the world

Yeah, they start spawning at level 15, so they should be out there for you. I bought the plan from the hunting store in Whitesprings. I guess I assumed the plan was consistent, and not a random chance to have it for sale?
