does your Camp get attacked no matter where you place it?
Hey, I haven't do much in base building yet, and have never move since I've created it.
I'm in middle of nowhere, no point of interest, just trees.
But I often get attacked by robots, mongrels, rats, ghouls and scorched.

So just wondering if I'm unlucky to have choose a mob spawn?
or does your camp trigger mobs, so you "have" to place turrets no matter what?

I think it's both, if there's a mob spawn point nearby then they'll attack, and there seem to be random attacks as well. I have my camp near the Charleston station, there are only the scorched in the area but I was also attacked by supermutants, robots and molerats. And to be fair the turrets are somewhat useless, I had scorched shooting from afar and destroying the wall right behind the turret and the turret just sit there doing nothing.

Sort of.

There are a few locations you can build that have almost zero chance of being attacked.

Enemies spawn literally at your camp regardless. There are a few places out there where spawn points get bugged and you rarely/never get enemies, but often they will still try to spawn near your camp anyway. Just yesterday I had four mutants spawning one at a time directly in front of my face, in between my water purifiers

By this he means the random wandering officer
Occasional travelling merchants who go crazy
Occasional vertibots that go crazy

My base gets almost no attacks ever, its close to an enemy spawn point but they don't wander.

In my experience I see bases with turrets and defences drawing aggro 1000x more than bases that just don't

Yes, your CAMP actually has "Spawn makers" integrated in it. This is used for both Hostile attacks and to bring in things like your CAMP ally and the wandering traders.

I noticed that if players spawn at my camp, it's always a monster spawns to attack my camp like always

My newest CAMP from the new feature.... not once yet and it's been so since day one. It's a small camp with a very small footprint. My first CAMP is attacked every time I log in. Thing is... it's always the same spot. All you do is log in, do a sweep and kill them. Good to go. Plus sometimes dinner at my doorstep.

Yeah if no one visits it doesn't trigger a chance for anything

my camp is near watoga, between a fissure and a deadclaw spawn point, and near one of the possible point for an event

I usually only get attacked when someone attracts the scorbeast or the 'claw to me.

I know that the camp can aggro the "travelling enemies" but those are far less common occurences
