The Economy gap
I’m level 231 and my first objective is all serum recipes. That’s the problem. I don’t buy from other players for that reason. All serums will take me about 1 month and that time I am not investing money on players. This game needs an auction house always online even if you disconnect like Wow or Eve, it is insane stay online for 8 hours to make 10k.

No it doesn't. If you want to make some caps, you gotta find the right market and vary what you sell. These seasonal event plans you've been getting might not be worth much right now, but they skyrocket to 10-20k the further you get from the event. Normal event plans average 1-2k with some of the high demand items reaching the 20k range.

Then there's acid, lead, aluminum, etc... to sell, which are pretty much a guaranteed sell, so long as you don't mark them up to absurdity. Ammo can net you a few grand a week. And rounding it off with some meds(not stimpacks or radaway).

I hit 40k 2-3 times a week and I never farm. I just sell off the crap I don't use.

Wdym? I'm lower level and have seen serum vendors for under 100c. I just buy and flip, sell anything I dont need. I set things to a price that I would personally spend, not some website. If things sell TOO fast or SLOW then I adjust prices

If your goal is to make caps by making and selling serums, it's going to take you a long time to break even. As each recipe costs about 20k caps, and you can rarely sell a serum for more than 500 caps.

Haven't played since 2022 but there was a time when crafting ammo and selling it was where it was at. Along with certain weapons with certain rolls. Main't the one's commandos liked.

long story short: we need auction.

Yes, it's basic funtion, but the games made by Bethesda were improved by player's mods mostly, they don't do anything extra. if there's no auction, there's no auction.

Yes, it's basic funtion, but Bethesda are lazy ass they don't do the basic.

"We did not give you the thing you think is most important" =/= "We are lazy'. They devote their manpower to building the things they think will attract and keep the most players, as they should. By ALL means, please share what you would like to see where you think they will see it; after all, the only thing they want to do is increase the playerbase and thus their income. But the more toxic you are when you share what you want, the less likely anyone on their end is likely to pay attention. That's just human nature.

I buy those cheap serums for 300 caps all the time and then resell them for 1999. I take water and all other stuff from people's camps and resell that too. Buy cheap/steal and then resell at high prices. People buy literally everything I put in my vending machine no matter price. We dont need auction, you just need to know how to hustle a little bit if you want to be rich. As a matter of fact, we need central bank to deposite caps, I could become a cap millionaire in less then a month.

Seems like a nice idea at first thought, but an auction would make it significantly worse. The already shoddy economy will tank as everyone undercuts everyone else. No thanks. The value of everything would plummet with over saturation from all being in one place. People who are previous dupers with absurd amounts of items or even long time players with multiple mules chock full could do the same, just legitimately.

An auction just isnt appropriate for this game for many reasons. And I say that as someone who loves to "play game economies"

I am not sure acution house in this game would work at all, you se games that was mentioned like wow and eve, where wow specialy had for a long long time, huge problems whit bot sellers and not to forget when the auctionhouse was per server, it was fearly easy for a few to totaly control the prices.

considering Fallout 76 got less players than just wow, you can imagine how it will end up, high level rich players will sooner or later totaly control the acution house, and buy up every single item that someone puts up for cheap.

even if this might sound like oh nice, low level players and less rich players gets stuff sold, it wont hold in the long run at all, becuse when the prices go up only a handful will ever buy anything, and if those low level players or those who has managed to sell their stuff cheap, wont to buy anything, they have to use every cap they gotten almost.

it wont work ever, there will be to many scammers and most likely atleast atempts to bot the acution house sooner or later. and maby even *gold sellers* to some extent.

Bethesda hates auction houses. Elder Scrolls Online also lacks them and only has guild vendors. Absolutely idiotic.

True.
but ESO made by Zenimax studio, they are different team, and Zenimax studio did the better job than Bethesda studio on the online game, that's for sure.

Still annoying as hell going town to town looking at all the guild vendors. Literally no different than going camp to camp. An auction house would solve that very time consuming issue instantly.
