Enclave plasma rifle mods needs improvement
Why is it that one and only one weapon has such system, that you can't learn but one plan for a mod for the weapon? It has been like this for years. Trying to find the right mods, by server hoping and farming events just seems like the oddest design when it comes to simple weapon mods. Where is the change?! Let us learn the plans for each mod, that would be a huge QoL.

I have a Enclave Flamer mod on my vendor.

Also have a Enclave Plasma Rifle with Reflex sights and Aligned Flamer Barrel sitting in my stash box unused (not legendary yet). Have too much money to put it in the vendor, not sure what I should do with it since I don't need it. I'm too lazy to go to some sort of trading forums :steamfacepalm:

The plasma guns are proof that Bethesda doesn't have a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ clue about balance and weapon design.

Take AP per shot costs. Due to an error in the original mathematics of giving ballistic automatics minus 50% instead of PLUS 50% AP drain has screwed the whole system up.

The proof it is an error is in energy weapons that increase or have no benefit on AP cost to being automatic. It also makes no sense that AP as a stamina system, somehow a weapon with more recoil is easier to control and keep on target?

Not having easy to gain mods (MODUS bunker, it is progress locked) is further proof of Bethesda's incompetence. That term is entirely justified in this regard.

It makes the Enclave plasma only useful to the mentally ill who are willing to 'play' the server hop lottery. No game should encourage such behaviour.

I play as an energy commando on my main character so i know the pain of this error first hand. So many times i want to just use a fixer or handmade or even an assault rifle because they are just so much easier to use with the AP cost. It takes a lot of effort to remain true to the energy cause. :steamsad:

Yeah i have totally given up on trying to get any more enclave mods. Dropped connection i have also given up. I am at 30+ events (lost count after 30) and not seen a single enclave plasma in that time.
I get your point and do agree with you however.... it is not that hard to get all kind of mods for that wepaon, have a few grolls Enclave plasma rifles, 1 groll just from the: dropped connection" event and 1 i rolled it my self.

In short? Yes it works a bit different but to be very honest? It never bothers me like some people have big isseus with this while getting those mods is relatively simple.

Hey, that's great for you, that you didn't need to server hop for hours to get one mod. If that is prime gameplay for you, to server hop and hope on good RNG for one mod you need. Then I suppose that is great gameplay for you. I've currently been changing servers for 2 hours (in my current session, excluding all other sessions) and I still don't have the mod that I need. That is not quality gameplay and serves little purpose to the game. I even hear someone did that for 12 hours just to get what they wanted to put on one gun. And then go and try to roll some good rolls for the gun.

Simple for you does not equal simple for others. You having blessed RNG does not mean it is a great system. I also have not seen a single enclave mod except for one single night vision scope in weeks of looking every single time i am Watoga on multiple characters.

No i am not going to do nothing but server hop for hours either. If i did that and i get another aligned flamer or whatever mod i wanted that also does not mean it is a good well thought out system.

It is limited to extend the grind. It's all down to RNG, fairly low i should say.
This rifle is better? Yes. Is it worth grinding? No

I mean i play the game every day and when i log in? (my survival tent is near Watoga) i check the vendors at Watoga, whatis difficult aboput that? When my crashes or i log out and log in a few hours laters then i check the Watoga vendors again.

Whats the problems?

P.s. forgot to say: i do EVERY SINGLE dropped connection event!

Simple for me? I just server hop? Check a few times a day the Watoga vendors so tell me? What is the hard part?

Currenly on my vendor:

5000 caps - Non Legendary Primed Enclave Plasma Rifle with Reflext Sight and Aligned Flamer Barrel.
1 cap - 5000 Ultracite Plasma cells

In Game name Kriminaal.

For the love of Bob, take them, i want to play a different build but I can't seem to get rid of my 13k ammo (can't fit all the ammo in my vendor).

1) Not all things are for all people. Elite items for the elites only. EARN IT.
2) Lazy & excuses - I've 2-3 of every enclave mod in my stash, and no less than 8 assorted with tactical scopes.
3) They're great, but there are plenty of options which are easily their equals.

No massive grinding, just once a day I search the Watoga vendors, and the Whitespring Enclave Bunker vendor.

Yawn.

It's all trash anyway. And so called mighty Plasma Flamer is a total trash too. Eats so much plasma ammo like fat Americans chicken wings, and I kill everything equally fast with peanuts ammo Gatling Gun. Besides the range of the Flamer is shorter then using a spear or something. If you want Enclave Flamer I will give you one for free, just take away that trash from my inventory.

the mods being rare is kinda lame but eh

kinda just on the list of weird things in this game like other weapons that don't have mods
m142 May 26, 2024 @ 9:22pm
just go green and use standard one , enclave version isn't even that good to consider going for rng ride.
as for energy cause there are laser weapons that are actually on pair with fixer.
