Camp NPC Updates?
I'd love to have an expansion on all of the C.A.M.P Allies that are available to players. From new missions they give you to additional stories with those characters.

I'd also love to be able to accept missions from the NPC's in which they join the player for that specific mission too.

Idk if anything like this is possible, but it would be nice to see an update for the Camp Allies - even if it were just large dialogue additions.

Or new ones. Two seasons without any new allies and they roll out pets in the most underwhelming fashion possible.
I would also like to romance the alien lady, so I agree they should expand ally stories.
Sadly Todd is too busy making people remake Oblivion to give Bethesda Austin any more interns, so I don't think we're gonna get anything significant besides new allies altogether.

I felt the side stories were actually well done for what they were and wanted to get to know the characters more after the fact - which you do get to but it's more like a teaser of something more in-depth then actual content.

Like with the Blood Eagle fellow and his bar, you can meet his brother *AFTER* everything is done as a trader and they have a unique conversation. I think this only happens once as I've never seen the character again since that one occurrence.

I just think it would be cool to be able to have an expansion of CAMP NPC missions, events, and dialogue - especially with the additions of everything that's been added to the game regardless if the story for that NPC is finished.

My CAMP Ally has never once made a comment about Vault 63, for example.

I really like picking up the "retrieve the junk" or "help the person" or "Kill this bad guy" missions from them as part of an occasional thing with daily objectives - it reminds me that the character is someone that is 'apparently' involved with my character.

But I wish that sometimes the ally would tag along with me and what we do is a little bigger then average as just part of the end of that characters content. They hand the mission to you and go "I'll need to go with you on this one, meet me here at 'missions' location'" and it's like a randomized fetch/save/protect/assassinate mission with that camp ally.
you mean have them steal from ESO and have a companion travel with you. that would defeat the whole lone survivor aspect of Fallout. yea i know Raids are meant to be Co-Op with other players, as well as some dailies and events. but most the game is meant to be SOLO played, lone survivor.

More have the option as an interaction with that character for specific missions that the character can give the player, rather then a companion that ALWAYS follows you until told no.

In this case, the side mission or daily mission given to the player by the CAMP Ally would have expansions to what they give, including larger missions where that Ally may accompany the player on them, after that characters story is entirely finished.

It would be a specific "This character gave the player this ((Daily/Side/Ally)) mission and will accompany the player on this specific mission" instead of "This character is told "Follow me" and follows the player permanently.

Once the main story with the CAMP ally is done, I feel that they're just, well, totally useless outside of the missions they give the player (Fetch,Kill,Save,Etc) and that if there was an expanded scenario of missions they can give, expansions to dialogue, and rare, specific scenario's where the character will accompany the player as part of the end of their content by, say, meeting the player at a specific location on the map to start that ally specific mission

Over

Having an ally that follows you permanently until said no

Would be a solid addition to the NPC's that the players can choose to interact with.

I feel it would add variety to the CAMP NPC's while barely impeding on the "Lone Survivor" aspect that is part of the game.

Hopefully this clears up what I mean. I already have players I can follow/group with if I choose to

In this case, I'd be hoping for an expansion on the CAMP Allys' End Content so that they're not, well, kinda useless. In this case I think they'd at least *Feel* more complex, and have updated dialogue regarding the "State of the World" in game since their introductions as a character (Since I don't think they've ever had updated dialogue in any regard)

From what I can gather about how Bethesda operates is they assign a particular Dev to take ownership of specific parts of the game. For characters only that dev is able to make changes.

For allies we went from the original ones with small quests (I suspect they were left over content as none of them have names, Punk, Wanderer and Gramps) to the quest allies of Beckett and Sophia.

After that we got 'lite' allies in the season with reduced interactions, basically vendors only or minor buffs.

This change suggests the dev assigned to 'own' the Allies was no longer at Bethesda. The same thing happened with pets as they were planned years ago, the dev responsible left.

Without that level of technical knowledge it's unlikely to see any real changes to them. We have 13 or more allies now which is heaps as you can only have one per camp. It takes a long time and maybe atoms to utilise them all.

This is true, I've been looking into trying out the other allies, but even some just don't provide anything aside from being a vender and a daily buff giver.

It would be nice for the "Radiant" quests to be given to the player from any CAMP ally, alongside expansions of what they give and do to some degree.

But I do understand that there is a lot of time needed to get other allies - especially when many can now only be bought from the Atomic shop and through the use of Gold Bullion.

I just like the Allies and desire more content with them
