Trog question

Wondering if anyone is well versed in killing trogs? If so what are you using? I have tried everything in my arsenal. I can kill them but it takes a lot of ammo.

Headshots (Concentrated Fire/Level 3) with "The Fixer" ... . The "Devourer" with "Auto-Axe" in solo ... .

i did use mini nuke with mirv with demolition expert and grenadier
just say i saw white for the next 10 sec lol

napalm flamer with heavy gunner perk cards works well on most of them. The Superior
trog is more difficult.

enclave flamer prime, ffr, head shots al rifelmen perks ect, all solo. only failed to save the people once.

AA flamer should do it. Might want the vampire effect though. Yea, AA and Vampire should do it.

Vamp +bash shredder shreds them

If you're worried about clearing the last bit successfully, I learned a little trick. It doesn't start until the leader enters Vex's base, and the trogs in the zone will follow you if you don't kill them. So, kill the trogs outside the base before going in. If the leader rushes to the base he starts the attack, whether or not anyone else in the party is there yet. If everyone rushes to the base, all the trogs in the zone follow, which makes for a more difficult, more overwhelming attack. Go to outside the base, kill all the trogs that follow, THEN enter the base and kill the ones that spawn for the attack. And if you are the leader, make sure everyone is there and ready before you enter the base

Auto-Axe is AMAZING for Trogs. Especially with the Electric mod... It just wipes them out extremely quickly, with no ammo needed.

Besides there is an achievement gained for killing 100 Trogs with an Auto-Axe.

auto axe/chainsaw, commando + vats + crits, and enclave plasma rifle flamer have done the job well for me

AutoAx or an AA Flamer - AutoAx seems to out murder them though, but getting the hitbox right can be frustrating.

Anything else is just a waste of ammo.

Depends on which of the 6 characters I'm playing, team mates etc. but mainly TSE handmade, TSE fixer, TS AGLs, vampire's flamers, vampire's and bloodied gauss shotgun, AAE handmade, QFFR railway rifle and vampire's chainsaws. Occasionally use bloodied Dragons (+50% vats crits and explosives) for some nice crit hits on trog boss.

I use the same. Mini-gun with shredder melee (bash) attachment. Vampire legendary effect. Carry NO AMMO at all, don't even pick up the ammo off of corpses. It does bash damage, but at the insane fire rate of a mini-gun. They just get ripped to shreds. Explode into body parts and gore. it's _very_ satisfying.

Auto axe with electric. Of course that's now my answer to everything. But for the love of god try to get one with 'breaks slower' and remember to repair often. Nothing worse than grinding away on a SBQ when you hear that 'PLINK!'

Oh, and get full levels of Incisor perk
