Mole miners, they all pretty much drop one or two items that include aluminium.

I know the wanahagan nuke event gives hundreds of screws if you tag the wendigos.

Are there any events that do something similar.

If you want something more convenient, then look for A/C units on the sides of buildings. Hover over them with cursor and it should open like a container. If there's anything inside, you'll see Coolant Caps. Each one scraps for 2 aluminum.

The building in the armory area of Harper's Ferry has a bunch of them. You can also find them on other buildings as you explore.

There is a safe at Morgan Town Airforce base. With the robot station and the crafting benches. Each time you loot it you get 12 aluminium. Jump server 10 times and you have 120 easy. Most of the time people just pick the lock without looting the safe.

Aluminium cans scattered about too, but then you have to search the whole place. Inside the main building should have some.

The Mutant bases north of Morgan Town Airforce base has some cans too. If you do not want to run around just loot that one safe.

Vendor's in settlement's and white spring
bullk of stuff is prety cheap and you can buy a lot of it in short amount of time(finding them is a mater of rotation on server/npc).
it's good way of managing your space.
as for cap's there are just way to much anti rad , purified water , chems and npc pay margin price for those (1400+~20% of spend caps in vendor every day)
