Best solo builds?
So my first character is near level 200, but they're a sneak commando and they can't solo bigger monsters like SBQ, Earle or other heavy events with lots of enemies like Rad Rumble.

I want to make another character and have a solo build. What is a good solo build that can do these things? I just get tired of relying on a lot of group and server hopping to find a server where people are actually doing team events together / nukes. Seems lately people aren't doing much teamwork.

Thanks for your time. Happy holidays to you and your loved ones. :8bitheart:

I think you can have answers to most of your questions about builds with "Angry Turtule" videos ... !!! Solo SQB or Earl or Colossuss Wendigo is out of reach/question for me ... !!!

I'll try to find this angry...turtule....but still any feedback from others is welcome too. I just don't wanna have to melee build then change it all at level 50 spending the next 50 levels retalenting everything x.x

youtubers tyr and captain noob are commando builds min /max
captain did sbq in 1min 45 at the start of this month

youtuber sh games has solo runs of earle with his pa /heavy gun build but commando can do it just uses alot of ammo

normally the above you tubers use 1st server to get peace n quiet and to stop people getting in the way there worth watching to learn new tricks but basically your already using a solo weapon

Alright I'll try to look into them too. I was using heavy gunner earlier, but couldn't find a good gun better than moldy toast, so changed to stealth commando, but can't solo things it seems, and being a higher level it's hard to grind XP to get levels to change things around. So I'm just going to make a new character and if I like the solo build probably just main them.

most commando builds use the fixer but .45 ammo is hard to find where as handmade 5.56 is easy to farm off super mutants

Perhaps experience varies for each person. All I can say is that, as long as I loot everything, I end up with gobs and gobs of .45 ammo. So much so that's it's disgusting.

most players dont bother with food /drug buffs but there useful

Yes I will have to find unyielding armor as I have none. -sad Zoidberg noises-

Yes I find a lot of .45 myself too. I find mostly .45 and .308 ammo myself. I also do find a lot of 10mm ammo too at times.

i seem to find .308 more than i do .45 out while hunting

Just open world grinding. I've always seen gobs of .45 ammo. I started the game on Good Friday when the game went on it's first official sale. Got a two shot explosive level action a month or so later. I could never use up the ammo - even after the nerf.

Haven't tried farming .45 ammo in daily ops. I'm a heavy gunner now and I just use a gatlin gun with an ultracite laser gatlin for bosses. I'm sure Daily Ops would make the ammo drops even crazier.

I'm pretty much on the opposite end of the spectrum with what you listed. I see very little .308 but tons of .45. Same with 5mm and .38.

Moldy....Toast.... *Homer Simpson noises*

You could create some mules and max out their caps. Then join discord marketplace and find someone selling your legacy weapon of choice.

A proper build, food and buffs from stuff like bobbleheads/magazines gets you pretty far, but if you want to solo bosses in record times, you'll need a legacy weapon.

You can also solo some bosses with a stealth build. You'll probably want lean on VATS for crits. You'll be playing peek-a-boo, though, if you get taken out of stealth (which you will). Run away and make sure you have Escape Artist as one of your perks. Restealth and Reengage.

Works well for SBQ and Encryptid. Probably not so much for Earle, though.

Ammo tips

Essentially Mandatory - Use ammo smith and super duper +80% and 30% increase (10 rounds becomes 18, becomes ~23.5 (21 for .45 ammo)

Optional - Use legendary perk Ammo Factory - 150% increase - 10 becomes 25 the above 10 becomes ~59 (52 for .45 ammo)

Lead + Steel - Find the can traps = 9 cans each 2 steel 1 lead per and they come in swarms of areas... lead and steel won't be an issue

Cloth - You find it everywhere just horde up a bunch, don't have a great essentially infinite source of this

Acid - Enemy loot is the best and easiest way... the tree on the right of the map is a good spot for crickets

That's what I do my best to do when I farm those things too. I also pick up all acid / canned items I find that isn't food to scrap and take back to my scrapbox at base. I have so much steel it's ludicrous. I just hate having to level up to move perks and how slow it is after level 100. xD
