cant sell plans in my vendor

I have a lot of plans that when I try to put them in my vendor, it says "cannot assign this plan moving to stash" or something like that. is that a bug or have I hit a limit? I currently have 160 plans for sale but I've seen players with 3 or 4 times that amount. I can drop all of these on the ground for someone to pick up but I can't put them in my vendor.

Sounds like your vendor is full. It has an item capacity, it will tell you right above the vendor list.

selling the same plans counts as 1 article/slot

Max item count is 120. If you sell 120 different plans you can not add another different plan. But if you have multiples of the original 120 plans than you can add them so long as you charge the same amount. I can sell 2,000 broken toilet plans so long as I put them in at the same cost. Same with bullets or anything else that can be stacked. Clothes, weapons and armor can not be stacked.

Possibilities;

1. Worst case, there used to be a random bug that wouldn't let you add anything to your machine even though you were under the 120 individual items listing. The fix was to empty your machines, scrap them and place new machines.

2. If you're trying to add additional Plans to your machine that are the same Plan you already have in it, try pulling out the ones that are there, then put them all back in at the same time.

3. If you have 10 of the same Plan you want to sell, they must all be the same price or they will list separately as if they are different Plans. Each will take up one of your 120 max items slots.

4. Is your Stash Full?

Edit; Make sure the Plans you're trying to add can be traded. You posted that you Can drop them. Anything that can be dropped can be traded.

If nothing above works, try verifying the game files.

Stash isn't full as I said it's moving them to the stash instead of putting them in the vendor.

So I can have 120 slots, so 120 individual items but they can stack if there the same price which is why I'm seeing people with over 500 plans. They don't have 500 different plans but multiples of the same plan in some slots. OK, that explains it for me. thanks everyone!

Like ronr42 said, sometimes you have to pull the items out and drop them in all together. I find this happens mostly with ammo. If I have 120 items and one of those is 772 .50cal at 1 cap and try to add more .50cal for the same price of 1 cap it will instead drop it into my stash. If I pull the original 772 out I can then drop the combined bunch in at once and it will fit.
