Secondly, when I have the problem, if I just sit and wait for uo to a minute it puts me back in control and fixes itself.
Ah, you dropped it and didn’t deploy it.
Only drop it when you want to give up ownership. Deployed power armor is still locked to you and cannot be taken by anyone.
games official site suggest that you manually load power core before enter PA. (to skip the loading power core loading animation). if you try some action game says something like this "while animation in play you cannot do that/this etc".
in my observations i conclude this bug occurs mostly
first, game aoutomatically uses lowest filled power core when entering PA (unless you put a different power core to the PA while it is located outside your pipboy screen). but if you use different PA's sometimes lowest filled core might loaded (registered we might say. game tracks which core loaded which PA) into another PA due to the recent usage makes that particular core lowest filled one. game pulls that core and trys using on to recent PA. at this point game in limbo, you cant do any action (besides quick key actions.). and must wait some time+ 60 seconds PA recall. (/EDIT: priority given to last used power core at particular PA. i think game stuck if those priorities clashes while installing lowest filled core onto new selected PA.. /end EDIT.)
to prevent this bug, either you load cores manually. or land your last used PA first, and before it returns automatically to your pipboy, land second PA and enter it.
second situation occurs if you try to enter or exit from PA, but some world object blocking animation start point. (ie. if you have object between you and PA. some rock, elevation, wall etc).
to awoid this, its better enter or exit from PA where you are at relative smmoth surface. or have ample space behind PA.
Every time i enter in the Power Armor i get paranoid. I hope this fix as Christmass present asd
I think that a lot of problems with Bethesda game spring from the fact that they try to automate way too much. Especially when going to the SBQ fight, it's really frustrating. I load into Scorched Earth, it's trying to load in the world around it, there's inevitably 10 people already there, so all their character models are trying to load, not to mention the weapons fire and god forbid there's some ♥♥♥♥ with a two-shot grenade launcher using the exploit so not only is it loading all of that, but ♥♥♥♥ is flying everywhere because of the grenade launcher firing like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ machine gun, so ♥♥♥♥ is moving in and out of the draw distance while it's loading... BUT before all that, Cop a Squatter has to pop and load...
Ranting aside, give the armor a few extra seconds to make sure it's fully loaded before you hop in. It makes a world of difference. It will sit there for I think 2 minutes before being recalled to your inventory.
