Us "toxic positivity people" will just recognize the mediocre game needs to turn a profit on its own, while the Devs need to keep it alive on an ancient engine upgraded with twigs and duct tape.
Demand "better" all you want. It's not going to happen.
I know I'm part of the problem. I'll jump in the PTS and find heaps of issues with balance, bugs, quest/event progression etc. but absolutely refuse to relay them through discord.
When the official forum was up it was a useful way to report bugs. I was instrumental in getting the explosive effect removed from the Pepper Shaker (no thanks necessary...).
For the PTS it was up they gave us a level 60 character with the plan unlocked and 5000 legendary cores (back when they were star divided). First thing I did was roll till I got an explosive, put on the single barrel and went testing.
The first Gulper I found outside Watoga was... immortal. The single barrel with explosive would have been 32 damage points per attack and too much for the game.
I reported it on the forums where other users could test it and confirm resulting in the effect being removed. I was stunned that I was the first to think of that scenario and test it.
Also with the Invaders From Beyond and Test Your Metal I'd test how the event went solo or sometimes with only a few players. The events have always been over tuned and often pushed further due to min/max reporting it's too easy.
The voice of casual player/playstyle doesn't get heard and when these updates hit that casual audience you get the negative backlash. Players flock the PTS just to see if their particular playstyle has changed and only care if it is.
Bethesda has a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ feedback system but it is also up to the PTS players to provide that necessary feedback, and they won't for fear of the word NERF...
Was wondering the same. Here in Australia it is what some people call a freshwater crayfish.
There are a lot of mirelurks in the game but Fallout 76 is definitely not full of them, so not sure what the OP means. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Maron is a surrogate for a forbidden word (mor0n).
Everything is forbidden these days.
Yep, fair enough.
