so i guess...
it just works....
I found this on wiki:
"...Wearing either the Veil of Secrets or a worn veil allows the player character to unlock the laser grid security and enter into the basement hideout of Riverside Manor."
and about the worn veil:
"Found on the corpses of deceased members of the Order of Mysteries. "
haven't tried myself but sounds like a solution if the other veil is lost.
Nope, doesn't work. Already tried it. I'll go try again in case they changed something in the last few updates and I'll edit this post after.
Edit: I can neither confirm nor deny it, because I am unable to loot a new worn veil. I tried 6 different bodies and there are only tattered dresses. Thanks for suggesting it though, was worth the shot.
2. I found out 3 years back as am that old of a vault dweller that those lazer gates in this place to be tricky. Going back and forth few times finally makes the game update those gates to let you in, other lazer gates in this game work just about fine but the ones in the mystery mansion have some sort of broken trigger check system in play were it does struggle to unlock.
If you were gonna do a fallout 76 speed run these gates are a nightmare to deal with if anyone was going to as it seems quite random if the gates are gonna open for you first try.
3. idk why but if you do finish all the quest lines to that place once you leave that's it, you can never return i tried twice and the game refused to let me in after that i was like fine guess i don't need my veil anymore as its pointless to keep unless i was gonna carry on wearing it. There is another area of the game that does the same were once the quest is over you can never return back, but i can't recall what that place was again.
If memory serves right that person is a dead body, wich makes sense because the story you're about to discover took place maybe years before Vault 76 openend and explalins why the order of Mystery vanished.
I realy liked this storyline though it seems to drag on forever.
(For more spoilers I think Oxhorn on youtube has a dedicted video about the Order of Mystery; He does fallout Lore videos and is a talented Narrator, it's like listening to an audio book with video :)
I remember doing the Nukashine dailies, went to go grab the daily and when I tried to use the door it said "this area is for future content."
Ya know what I found irritating, when you got the two comic book nerds arguing who is the better hero you are not allowed to say Mistress of Mystery was real and she fought the raiders.
Waiting resolved it on its own (restart, verify files). Apologies if that isn't much help.
Try following the storyline with another character or just going through the grid with another character.
Doesn't work, you can't drop or trade the item. I haven't been in the base for many years. And Bethesda support's answer is something like ''we know, but it's not a priority''. They're not getting paid for bug fixes, they're getting paid for skins.
