You can buy the plain game, and then later on, add the BoS Recruitment Bundle which gives you those cosmetics.
They have had several different versions, but they just add different cosmetics. Every purchase of the game gives you the same actual game content. Buy the base version and you still can do every quest and event.
Subscription is not required at all to play. We all played for the first year without it, and many people still do. With the subscription you can play in public or private worlds. Without the subscription you just play public worlds.
Servers are located all over the world. They are hosted by AWS (Amazon).
With restrictions about building too close to other players, or too close to named locations, you can build a camp anywhere. But it is not required to so do.
There are two types Fallout 76 buildings:
- Camps:
This one is your main base basically. They can be placed almost anywhere on the map, the only restriction is that they can't be too close to existing buildings.
You can freely move your camp location around, everything you built will be stored and can be placed again.
You can only have 1 camp at a time.
- Workshops:
These are very similar to Fallout 4 settlements, their location is static and provide certain types of resources. You can build anything within their boundaries, but they are PvP enabled zones and can be fought over with other players. When you log out then your ownership of the workshop is forfeit (crafting materials are not refunded), unless you are a Fallout 1st sub playing on a private server, then you keep the ownership for about ~5mins if you log back.
You can buy it as a DLC later, if you just want the game.
Why you bought this game?
