Question about server status?

I've googled "fallout 76 server status" and it is showing a couple things that I am confused about, google at the top of the google page is showing Down
As of now, Fallout 76 servers are currently down and undergoing maintenance to implement the latest patch, yet Bethesda.net Status Portal is showing Fallout 76
Operational as a green chechmark I am guessing Bethesda.net Status Portal is not accurate?

It must have been only the server I was on then.

Servers do rotate in and out of service. They tend to get buggy/laggy after too long. Outside of actual game maintenance, you can just hop to a new server when you get the notification

Not sure why but I had to exit the game I got the message server is shutting down for maintenance so I am guessing that meant the server I was currently on?

Yes, just the one you were currently on. Happens when that server has been running for a while. Just go back to the main menu and rejoin, and it will put you on a server that isn't going down. Unlike a lot of other online games, you don't choose a specific server or copy of the world to join each time. You just get assigned a random one each time you join the game. (If you have a friend, you can choose to switch to his copy of the world if there is room available.)

happened to me the other night. i stopped playing, didnt realize i could just server hop
