Why would I participate in best build camp?

Trading isn't disabled. What you are seeing is a copy of the person's camp; they may not even be online.

The copies of peoples CAMP's are populated across the Wasteland on a rotational basis. To trade with a CAMP I'd expect that the player who built it would need to be present on that server and be their active CAMP. Also they could make subsequent changes to their CAMP which wouldn't be reflected in the copy that you see unless they went through the process of updating their submission.

I swear some peoples camps that i've visited today alone deserve to be featured. Some real creative folks out there. If your camps neat and well thought out, submit it!!!

I've seen some basic platforms with stuff on them with over 15 likes. And I've seen some really nice ones with very few likes and even none. I think it's more likely to be a system where the more friends you have online, the more likes you get.

Its more because people just like the first 4 best builds they see because it was in a daily challenge

Guess Bethesda are just trying to force people to interact with a new mechanic with the challenges.

I visited 4 random camps and voted "like", without looking them over, just to get the daily done. I'll do the same whenever that daily crops up, but I don't give a crap about other people's camps either. My camps are plain, functional, rectangular structures without any decoration or random crap in them. That's all I need to play my game efficiently.

While I can appreciate the idea behind it as a community engagement with each other; could we please keep them off the personal servers? If I really wanted to engage with others bases like this or in any other way i would not play on my own. Let me toggle it off or something. If I am feeling social and want to give someone buttocks pats for creativity I will head over to the public realm.

Best builds was not created to increase trading or have anything to do with trading.

It is to share builds and appreciation for builds that you found to be pleasing.

It is a thumbs up option for camps nothing more.

(Other than being part of the dailies)
