1 - Ammo Factory seems nice but is unnecessary, you will be drowning in ammo without it
2 - Survival Shortcut is unadulterated garbage
3 - Taking one for the team is absurdly good its a 1.5x damage multiplier
4 - Far Flung Fireworks is unadulterated garbage
5 - Funky Duds is extremely situational, can you press H when you get hit by it? if yes this is useless, if you can't push a key then yes this will help you be immune
6 - Sizzling style is like funky duds only worse because you have a perk that takes off 45% of fire anyway
7 - Legendary SPECIAL is absurdly good (avoid charisma take the other 6)
I do
+30 special - full int build for exp - 69 int = absurdly high exp gain
+25 special & taking one for the team - For full damage and stuff
Ok, so basically go Follow Through, Taking one for the team, and fill the remaining four with legendary specials. Figured Luck would be a nice addition for crit damage and INT for Gunsmith or Demolition Expert which of the other 2 (minus charisma) would be ideal?
The problem is
vs regular enemies, legendary enemies, or anything short of earle / queen / encryptid you kill the enemy before this can POSSIBLY trigger
Vs Queen you are almost certainly not getting the first hit in, and as soon as any other player attacks her your follow through will not proc... BEST case you get 40s of boosted damage at the start of a fight while shes flying around
vs Earle its easier to get the first hit in, but again its 40s and then never again for the fight
vs encryptid you probably aren't getting it in and hes pretty squishy anyway so its not needed
See if ANYONE has attacked the boss this effect no longer will be applied
at least taking one for the team you can use +25 perks and this to have a nearly immortal build (use a stim pack and literally nothing can kill you for the duration of its heal... even without it you have to get unlucky 5-10 times in a row to be at risk)

IIRC this is my full int build
Hmm, alright I'll give it some consideration. Also (because I've been on the fence about this as well) I noticed you have herbivore for a mutation. Is that better to go for over carnivore for commando or would I be better off not taking either mutation to allow benefits from both meat and vegetables?
Herbivore >>>> Carnivore
Synergizes with live and love 3 for a bonus 50%
I easily get
Munchies
Cranberry Relish + exp (37.5% exp)
Gourd Soup +perception (7.5)
Brain Fungus Soup +intelligence (7.5 can do bombs for 11.25) (25.5-33.75% exp)
Tato Salad surprise +ap regen (forget what its at but its stupid good like 10-20 ap / sec, with powered and other things = instant full ap bar)
Blight Soup +crit (75% crit damage)
Tato juice +ap (another 40-50 ap or something)
Steeped Fern Flower Tea +str (7.5) = more carry weight
vs
carnivore
25% from squirrels
assorted stat buff food
that is all
Alright, thank you for the suggestions!
Low HP Commando is all about what weapons you have access to, not really perks. To get the most out of a Low HP commando you need a VATS Zero Fixer and/or Railway Rifle. Anti-Armor for bosses, Bloodied for trash mobs.
So, Anti-Armor VATS CRIT +50% and VATS Cost -25% (Bosses) Bloodied, VATS Hit Chance +50% and VATS Cost -25%
Well my concern revolving around the legendary perks is I didn't want to invest in lets say Blood Sacrifice only to find out later it wasn't worth it and unable to recover the perk coins I invested into it. Sure the type of weapon is important but the right perks will help make just as much difference it damage and that's why I was asking around.
You're very ammo efficient so not really too much to worry about there.
Fireproof and Sizzlin are very different. I have Fireproof basically auto-locked into every build to mitigate explosive dmg from all the random explosions in the game and my own explosive weapons for when that mole rat pops up in your face and you don't kill yourself :D
Eh disagree
AA FFR 15r is the ideal everyday weapon (for me anyway)
Q FFR 15r is the probably boss killer... maybe Q 50c 15r... blight soup and perk cards mitigate the extra damage from crit vs the ability to crit much faster
Vats Cost -25% is garbage, I use a QFFR90 fixer for my boss one and I can go through 2-3 full clips of ammo before I get close to running short of AP (including with dodgy going too)
Fixers can be made into virtually AP free weapons, their anti armour magazine doesn't actually work (well I haven't checked it this patch, but it hasn't for a year, and the patch notes don't address it) so you are better to go with
Powerful Automatic -5% ap / Prime Automatic -50% ap (or automatic 38, weakens it considerably but also -50% ap) +++ you get the lowered AP cost from commando
Aligned long -5% ap
Aligned stock or Forceful stock -5% ap
Quick magazine -5% ap (actually -25% ap from the default)
Reflex Sight (dot or circle) -15% ap
Suppressor
These drop the cost of an ap shot from 25 (rifleman) to like 12 (rifleman) or like 3 for a commando
As such -AP legendary effects are not really desirable on a lot of weapons
Then onto vats hit chance, any bloodied build is unyielding and will have 95% vats accuracy anyway so again this is a waste
Having as much DR as most power armour users and max defensive perks tends to render you unkillable
If you are unkillable jumping into somethings face is totally viable, and then you and your team hit harder
