Need building help.
My first camp, built about 5 years ago, now can't be accessed because it's too close to a site Bathesda decided to put up. So I had to move it. I packed it up and moved to a new spot but my main house can't be placed anywhere. I've tried about ten new locations and every time I try to place it I can't because it "needs support." I was able to place some other things. Some of which I decided to delete, and did so successfully. I would like to just place the house so I can delete it but am stuck and it takes a lot of budget. Is there any way I can delete it from the "saved" menu, or is there a way to place it and get around the "needs support" message?

do you mean from the "stored" tab or the "blueprints" tab? either one you should have a tool tip down at the bottom of the page that says delete blueprint or scrap stored. the default key for keyboard is R when you have the item highlighted in the list. i dont use controller right now so i cant help for the keybinding on those.

You can scrap the house blueprint (in build menu's Stored-tab), that frees everything in it so you can scrap them or use for a new camp.

Thank you Valgrux. My house was in the stored section, not blueprint. I looked at the stored section again and there wasn't a tooltip at the bottom that gave me a delete option. However, I tried hitting the R key anyway and an option to delete blueprint and store all items came up. I used the option and it worked. Such a relief. Thanks again. As they say, "I couldn't have done it without you." :-)

Things that will prevent a blueprint/stored camp from being placed elsewhere:

Anything touching the ground that is not a foundation.
Stairs from the foundation to ground.
Having a shelter entrance inside a blueprint.
Having too much elevation change differential between the new place and the old place.

I had the foundation to ground stairs. Of course I put them on after I built the house so it never occurred to me that it would be a problem. Thanks for the info. I'll try to avoid that in future.

Under the stored one, usually at the top most is the blueprinted one. Try to drop it, but instead do that, you can scrap it to make it into individual parts. The option is there when you try to place it.
The problem with "Need Support" because of individual part that inside the blueprint didn't properly recognise the support it had.
If it's a bug, I don't know, to me more like a hindsight.

I quit for 2 years before coming back in June this year.
I'm using my 2nd Slot if my main one is ever "blocked".
I can switch servers if I want to use my first.
